Morning all - **yawns**
Been awake since 6 when DH's alarm went off...he had a meeting with a recruitment consultant about a job at 7.30am so was off at 6.20. He has a late meeting too so won't be home til at least 10.30, poor thing.
I am working from home today as our new bed was coming...in fact they have been and gone - delivery was originally 7am-1pm then 7am-10am and it was here at 6.50am! Now just for DH to put it together tomorrow night.
I won a couple more baby clothes things last night - a jacket and hat set for 99p and a set of 7 vests and 3 babygros for 99pI just need to ask the seller to combine postage as its the same person i bought stuff off on sat.
and I'm still winning 4 cot bumpers!! Don't finish til tonight though so should be ok.
kitkat - poor you, going out is hard work. I was at a hen do on friday but thankfully it was more of a girls night in which i could cope with, I didn't do the posh meal on the sat for very similar reasons...
Hope everyone feels a bit brighter today. Guess I should eat some breakfast and then get on with some work...the sooner I start the sooner I finish.
Thanks Rach, I cant believe how hard I found it going out, before I was pregnant, I was a right party animal! Always the most drunk, and strutting my stuff on the dance floor but now I just want to stay in with OH and bump. Sorry to hear u feel pants today, enjoy working from home and put ur feet up! I think its just the larger New Looks that sell bump bands as my local one doesnt, infact my next local one is massive and doesnt sell them either! Mite be worth ringing up save wasting a journey? Good luck with your ebay bids! I found about 8 items I liked on ebay, placed the minimum bid and let them run their course (or more like I forgot about them!) and I won 6 of them! 2 items are pink, but are lovely
and the rest has been good too! Just waiting on the last 2 to arrive!! Shh dont tell OH :rotfl:

Rach hope you feel better, did you get your bed from ikea as my delivery came before 7 and I was their second delivery. At least you can get on with your day now. I got my bump bands too from new look, but had to get them on line as local one doesn't do mat stuff. I think topshop may do them??
Good news was in bed last night laying flat and both DH and I felt bubs kick, was very slight but very exciting!! Was reading a pregnancy book and said it makes you feel like your part of the alien film, as in something is growing inside of you (especially when you start to feel bubs) I do agree with this as lovely as it is it does feel a bit strange!!
How many weeks are you? we're not sure when that will start happening for us, she is now 12+3 and starting to show so im expecting it to be 20 weeks ish?
Also ive tried 'listening in' to see if i can hear the baby and i do hear something that sounds like movement in water (but could be bladder? LOL). Does anyone know if im just going mad or if i can actually hear my little'un?MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
Bufger; with movements everyone is different, I felt 'butterflies' at about 12 weeks, and now am 24+3 weeks and feel very strong kicks. My OH can feel the kicks through my belly but cant hear anything (appart from water which I am guessing is water and not the baby!) but he bought me a heartbeat and movement monitor from argos and although they can worry you, I now find I can hear the babys heart beat clearly, and OH cant actually hear the movements and kicks!0

I'm 19 weeks now, nearly half way lol!! Like kitkat said starts off with butterfly type sensation then at a couple of weeks I started to feel 'pressure' in my lower abdomen on and off (but couldn't really feel it to touch). Was only last night that felt it through my belly, was in bed relaxing DH had hand on lower abdomen and def was a kick. Then another one later he felt it too - was quite slight at the mo but I'm sure will develop.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

I think that water thing is the same thing i can hear. I often lie down on bellies (as a kid used to cuddle up to my mum and listen to her heartbeat and her stomach groaning! ive also done that with my OH pre-pregnancy). This sounds different, its the same sound you get when you hear movement in water whilst your ears are underwater if that makes any sense at all! Next time you're swimming put your head underwater and swish your arm around, thats what it sounds like!MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
Just went for my third scan and we found out the sex. I'm on team pink. I dunno if i'm happy or not which sounds really awful I know. I suppose I was really hoping for a boy. I'm not annoyed that it's a girl. Oh it's hard to explain. Anyone know what I mean?

Nene I know what you mean
We're having little girl no.4, and this is going to sound weird, but because this one has a different Dad to my other three, I thought if this one was a boy the differences in physical appearance might be less pronounced, because the others don't look like me, they take after his side looks wise IYSWIM.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Nene i get what you're saying, im secretly hoping for a girl for some strange reason (i always wanted 2 boys) and if its a boy i will think thats great but will still think '!!!!!!!'.
Dont feel guilty about that thought, its completely natural and LOADS of people do it!MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0
