I have that exact same one and it's brilliant. Well worth the money :)

I suppose this baby will be nice and cheap now though :D I already have all the clothes from DD. I told my mum and both her and dad laughed at me and said that when they grow up they'll be at each others throats like me and my sis are. :D

Oh and my DD is blonde like me, her bio was blondy/brown......Daddy is jet black hair....Might notice the difference when DD2 comes out jet black aswell . lol. :rotfl:

I have to admit; I differ with whether I prefer a boy or girl. I spose a girl would be nice to dress up in lots of pretty clothes! Lol, mind you this doesnt always work as I was a right tomboy, and never dressed girly when I was younger! But some of my friends little girls are always throwing tantrums, whereas the boys seem more laid back! My OH said he is hoping for a girl as he has 3 brothers and said he would like a change! But I only ever had one sister so am not bothered!

I have the summer heartbeat monitor, my OH bought me it as a suprise and it was a lovely present! I found it hard to hear when I was 12 weeks, we could just about hear a heartbeat, but since 20 weeks its crystal clear.

Hi everyone, feeling emotional today. Yesterday was worried as baby didn't kick all day till late last night. I went out on Saturday night and baby was kicking in the pub, think he or she was saying turn that music off im trying to sleep. Baby been kicking this morning. Got to do lots of revison today for my exams.

Im fed up with my mum too, we live just under ten mins walk down road from my brothers and have lived here for nearly ten months now, yet my mum has been to see us once, and that was not that long after we moved in. She goes to my brothers all the time to see him, his fiance and my nieces, yet can't be bothered to come and see us. I texted her yesterday to see how she was, she texted back saying ok and that she was going to my brothers tomorrow and asked if i was a uni. Told her that i was off now to revise for exams. She texted back saying i might see you tomorrow if you go to your dads (my brother lives with my dad) I didn't reply to this, then couple of hours later, she texted saying are you going to be at your dads tomorrow. I texted saying doubt it as will be revising, didn't want to put no why should i go up to my dads to see you, why can't you come to see me. It pees me off that she expects me to go to my dads to see her when she can't even be bothered to come to mine. Also she lives in a different town to my sister as she does to us and she can't make the effort to go and visit my sister too. I should be used to it now as i have always been pushed out by her and my sister and brother are her faves.

Another thing that annoys me is that she interfers between my brother and his fiance and me when its got nothing to do with her. Like when she texted me saying that the themonitor that my dh borrowed last year was not working and that they needed to use it for my niece. The way she said it, was that she was accusing my dh of breaking it. When he borrowed it for all of two mins and my brothers fiance was here when he used it and took it away again. ( I thought he had swine flu and wanted to check his temp) Turns out that it was the battery that had died. She then texted later saying sorry that she got it wrong and it was the battery. It wasn't even her themoniter to start with. Its not just that she texts me to ask me like is my brothers fiance better etc, why can't she just ask them herself, she speaks to them often enough. Sorry for the long rant.

  • Hi Bufger, I'm still lurking here and trying to tear myself away from the 12 weeks board :o
My friend lent me her Angel thingamejig yesterday and I found the baby's heartbeat last night (I'm 13wks today), and you're right it is like a swooshing sound underwater. I was expectying an ER type heartbeat, ha ha! Just make sure neither of you freak anytime you can't hear it as my friend said there were plenty of times she didn't hear it due to it being positioned funny. I've got it to play down the mic to my chap in Afghan as he feels like he is missing out a little :) He's definitely not missing out on me being hormonal :rotfl:

Thanks for the bump band tips - annoying but doesn't look like they sell them. I did notice that there's a big store near DH's work that does mat stuff...I will see if I can persuade him to take a walk there one lunchtime ;)

I am still in my pjs and dressing gown but have caught up on some work...I hate webmail though - everything takes ages!! I am going to do a few more bits and put the minimum hours down for today I think - the rest of the week is really busy so I'll make it up. I might even have a bath....haven't had one since I got pregnant!

Hello everyone hope youre all fighting fit today :)

Had a busy weekend especially yesterday when we swapped bedrooms around and put up bubs cotbed and wardrobe. Now got a line full of baby clothes on the line and another load in the washer!!! :)

Had bad 'burn' in my throat on Friday night so much so that I bought some Gaviscon on Saturday - they all smell bloody awful but opted for the Cool Mint flavour - and its done the trick so fingers crossed for the next 5weeks or so:)

QUESTION re nursing bras.......Im 35+1 and tried a couple on in Mothercare on Saturday and found some I liked and there was a bit of room left for 'growth', is there a general rule of thumb how much they swell between now and when the baby is born??? I didnt fancy paying £30 in case they only last me 2wks????
Opinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!! :D

    Hello :hello:
So this is the preggers board........yikes!
Well, I am somewhere between 12-14 weeks, no one seems to be able to decide, and this is my 2nd pregnancy, I have a DD who is six and a half, and could not be more excited about bump if she tried :rotfl::rotfl:
Facing single motherhood, kicked OH out about 3 weeks ago due to alcohol related issued, he has now admitted he is an alcoholic and goes to AA, but we are a long way from sorting anything out.........
Looking forward to hearing all the stories and remembering the joys (!??!!?) of pregnancy xx :A
