lol, I have my bag packed too and its been packed for about a month! am only 29 weeks....
:o
I have two bags as well, one for me with all my things and one solely with all the baby's things in it. I have even organised the first clothes the baby will need into little sets of - vest, sleepsuit, hat, nappy, mittens - cos DH would be useless trying to put it altogether so I have made it so he can just grab it and pull out the little bundle.
I also have one bundle as above in pink stuff as it is 99% certain a girl but another bundle in red which we can put on the baby just in case it turns out to be a boy!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
I'm also part of the wet knicker club but I have only remembered to do pelvic floor exercises about 5 times...must set a reminder in my phone or something. Pant liners are working wonders and I feel so much better since using them!
Hospital bags - one thing I'm not at all organised on! I do know exactly where everything is though so if there was an emergency DH could find things. He usually does the packing when we go away! I was thinking i'd do it when on mat leave- plan to take either a backpack or small wheely case, guess DH will take the camera and camcorder in his bag and a book etc. My wash bag just remains packed from holiday to holiday so that's easy enough.
Off to look at the mothercare sale though not sure I can justify more mat clothes!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Been to see the consultant this afternoon and had another scan (I've got gestational diabetes so they scan me every 4 weeks). His growth has dropped off very rapidly. At the 28 week scan 4 weeks ago he was on the 97th percentile, today he was only on the 47th. They said it was quite rare to have a drop like that, but as they only started me on Insulin and Metformin tablets 4 weeks ago they aren't sure whether the slow down is due to the medication or whether it would have happened anyway.
Sooo, they're going to rescan in 2 weeks to see what the growth is like then, if it hasn't picked up they will get him out. I have to go back tomorrow for steroid injections which will strengthen his lungs incase he makes an appearance at 34 weeks. I have to stay in for 48 hours for monitoring as the steroids can increase blood sugar levels. Oh joy
Hello there - I feel for you, I also have diabetes and have just had a long chat with the diabetes nurses/midwives, which basically said best outcome would be they'd induce me at 38 weeks, but may well need to induce/c-section earlier if there was a problem with growth etc. It's not great, but I'm trying to take the approach that at least they're keeping an eye on me, which means there's a decent chance things will go well...
Hope things go OK - keep us posted.0 -
I also met my OH online [plenty of fish] - he is 10 years younger than me and my reply to his first email was 'did you notice how old I am' :rotfl:
Who would have thought that almost two years later we would be planning a baby and a wedding - he is my 'one' though :blushing:
My MIL is also fab which is great in many ways especially as my own mum isnt with us anymore.
Hospital bags :think::think: DD1 was WAY too long ago to remember and I knew DD2 was gonna be staying in hospital way longer than me so she didnt need anthing.
I can feel this is gonna stress me out when the time to pack comes
Labour vibes to those who need them - I hope sammy is having mummy cuddles.
Hugs to all

I'm having a homebirth but I know it's meant to be a good idea to pack a hospital bag just in case. To be honest though, CBA
. We only live 10 mins from the hospital too so might just get hubby to shove summat in his bag if needed

Wondered if anyone started a new job shortly after finding out they were pregnant and what their new managers reaction was? Have had a strange day as have just had to do that myself. Did not get the response I was expecting:heart2:Married 03/09/2005
