Opinions needed on baby names. I know its early days and although we're on team blue there is still a chance they got it wrong at the scan so ive picked some lady ones too! Havent discussed these ones with the OH but we're struggling to pick so we each come up with 5 new ones a day (although i keep throwing imogen in there as i like it)

    Joshua
    Ethan
    Elden - Whats that mean??
    Keane
Ruven - I'm unsure...its similar to Ruben but not iyswim:o

    Imogen
    Ava
    Evelyn
Keryth - sounds like Cerys with a lisp to me:o Sorry:o

I dont like normal names but i dont like anything really silly like Apple either. Something that sounds elvish or Gaelic normally appeals to me and i like the meaning of some too. Which one do you guys like?
I've put a couple of comments on:) But on the whole they're nice names although the boys ones aren't necessarily what I'd pick...but then I'm a fussy cow with an even fussier hubby!:rotfl:
The other 3 girls names are nice:) and I like Joshua more than the other boys names...that might be because I like traditional names though:)

    There's my 2 penneth anyway Bufger...hope I've not offended:o:)

Re: Urban Detour: I had the twin one and it was amazing for walking with. It is quite heavy though so bear that in mind if you're going to be getting it in and out of a car all the time! Obviously the single one won't be quite so heavy (twin version weighed an absolute ton) and if you decide it's too heavy then the out and about nipper 360 is very similar but probably lighter and also narrower. I know the twin version of the nipper is slimmer than the twin detour, because my friend could get hers on the new buses when they changed them and I couldn't :rotfl:

Bufger: I second Cerys with a lisp, sorry too :o I do think Cerys, Caris etc are lovely names though.

i dont get offended otherwise i wouldnt have asked for opinions! I hadnt though of the lisp thing but i do agree.

Elden means Wise in Elvish apparently. Ruven is just a different take on Ruben but i find that a strange name anyway so i like the different take on it. I'm not a fan of traditional names that have been circulated for the last few generations but i love some of the old names that havent been popular for a while and i like some mythical style unusual names. There is nothing more enchanting than a pretty lady with an elvish style name or a handsome guy with a strong mythical name.

I think the problem is im just a romantic and i read too many books. LOL

I have a friend who was named after a character in a book (I'm not going to say it here, if he found it he'd be cross :o) but you can PM me if you really want to know lol and he found his name to be a huge problem whilst he was growing up.

    You sound like a girl:p:rotfl:
I thought Elden was a reference to being the eldest boy....so could work 2 ways in that respect;) It also depends on what your surname is and how it'd flow, I can't stand clunky names!

I love traditional names as they're becoming less common so are starting to sound a little unusual but not 'out there' :) I'm currently trying to persuade DH on Nathaniel or Elijah.....he aint having either of them:( He likes Lucas but it's a bit common for my liking now, which is also my reason for not liking Ethan:o

So, ex has texted to say sorry for his reaction.
I said sorry was not good enough and not to contact me again.
This sent him off the handle, and is going to pursue his court action.

I am so so tired, emotionally more than physically.

    Change your mobile number.

He won't pursue his court action cos he knows he'll look stupid;)

Go out and buy a cake/chocolate/something yummy and one of those crappy mags with stories of men marrying 10 times/alien abductions/doggies saving lives and relax and TRY to forget the dickhead:)

    I'm off to bed.

I am a big girl sometimes but i dont mind.

Surname is Bowen and i have taken that into consideration when picking. We wont have an Owen Bowen or anything :D. My OH also likes lucas but i just keep thinking of mucas which puts me off. lol. I also agree Ethan is becoming more common which also puts me off but i do like the name
