re spatone- I also had to taste it on it's own just to see what it was like- IMO it tastes like a rusty key or something! In orange juice I can't taste it at all, but it apple juice I can slightly taste it but it is not unpleasant. You can take it at the same time as other iron supplements as it is a natural iron source, and it had no effect on me re constipation etc. I felt loads better after a week of taking it, and my bloods went from 9.5- 10.5 (which is still low for me as I normally have a high iron count.)

Anyways, no movement here, but I have had period pain type cramp since last night so hopefully something is going on down there MW is coming to me at 11 for a sweep anyway so she will be able to tell me if it's looking close or not hopefully, I might just have wind

Morning all, hope everyones well!!

Well this is the end of week one without my manager; he is on holiday :j one more week of bliss to go!!

Although I am abit annoyed today; there is only me and a bloke I share my office with in, and he has gone out to do a delivery apparently, he did the same yesterday and said he would be back 9am and rolled in 12pm :mad: I bet the same will happen today, I really really should not be working on my own, we have all these 'lone working policies' and I just feel like if something were to happen... ow I duno I am probably just stressing! Moan over!!

I filled in 3 job applications for OH last night, not really sure how I ended up doing it but at least they're done and ready to go! *fingers crosses* he gets one!

I had a lovely evening; finished work went straight to pub and met up with a friend, had a lovely chat. Then went to my sisters and was chatting to her 7 weeks pregnant friend who was panicking about labour, I thought blimey I am 33 weeks and not even thinking much about it yet! Then I went and had my eyebrows waxed and tinted, and eyelashes tinted, I feel human now.. even not wearing any make up! :rotfl:

i've got my 20 week scan this afternoon and really hoping we can find out the sex, the kids are desperate to know (and me too).
Had such a pregnant brain moment this morn went to the garage to put petrol in the camper used the pay at pump, paid then went into the kiosk and attempted to pay again!!!!!!!!!
DOH!!!!
the young lad in there looked at me like i was on drugs when i argued that it was definately pump two i had used and needed to pay for it!!!!!!

I am also sooo short tempered at the moment on tuesday i was in morrisons with DD trying to deal with self service till and in a major rush, really hot when she starts hitting me on the arm to get my attention i tolerate it for a while telling her just a minute then i really lost it and shouted "STOP TOUCHING ME!!!" Oh god it was so awful didn't realise how loud i was til a woman turned round and gave me the 'look'. I know it sounded like i just diodn't want her to touch me but it really wasn't that!!!!
Felt like such a bad mum!!!!

Feeling massive now and baby is constantly moving though only i can feel it hoping for some proper kicks soon so the kids can feel it, not DH though he hates it when baby kicks he gets all squeamish and says it's like alien!!!!!

I was told that a Hb of 11 is recommended and anything under that is classes as anaemic. Rechecked my notes last night and back in January when I found out I was pregnant it was 10. Then in April it was 9.2 and now I'm at 8 so its steadily coming down so anything I can do now will boost it.

PIGPEN - thanks for the PM. Thought you were going to say it had some strange adverse effect on you! Will definitely look into getting some today either from chemist or from doctor - might even go to coop pharmacy in town where I get discount .

I think it is one of the few things I haven't had every obscure reaction to lol!!

Fernlie, really hope it's bubs on the move for you.....I really hope all you overdue ladies have some action going on...being overdue in this weather must be difficult!
KK when he comes back tell him you're going out for lunch and might have a bit longer coz being stuck in the office has made you feel awful coz of the heat;):D Yay for job applications:T Fingers crossed he hears something from one of them:D
As for the 7week pg friend panicking....I probably did the same:o Tbh I think we worry about it all in the 1st 12weeks more than any other time as it's all so new and fresh still, I swear I constantly talked about bubbas then..now it really bugs me when thats all someone wants to talk to me about:o:)

I have very tingly nipples which is really annoying and I'm having to start psyching myself already up to go bra shopping this weekend(I hate bra shopping with a passion:mad:)
Does anyone know the normal ranges for putting on weight during pregnancy?!?!?! I'm getting a little concerned as at 22weeks I've only put on 5lbs, was gonna google but thought better of it;) Bubs was within normal limits at the 20weeks scan so not too concerned but I am a little iyswim TIA x

With the iron - I'm taking a kiddies liquid iron stuff (on prescription). Because I don't take iron at all well I had to start off with licking a bit on spoon and slowly up the dose. I know have to really try to up the dose as levels are going down, down, down!!

It actually tastes quite yummy:D

I was awoken during the night (I actually had a bit of sleep:j) by a huge braxton hick contraction thingy:eek: Poor cat had cuddled up with bump so had a bit of a shock!:rotfl:

My friend is taking me out for a pre birthday picnic in the park and she text me earlier saying she felt bad expecting me to walk so she's going to drive me there and back! Yay... I don't have to struggle back up the hill:T

I'm hungry.

kitkat - how much did you pay for your bra extenders? I am looking on ebay but there seem to be loads! I only need one as I only have one bra lol!

I will give spartone a try although have been having funny pains around tummy today but am very windy! hoping it will kick start things though

Was told this morning too that apparently liqourice has a high iron content - so guess I shall grab a few bags form the sweetie shop later.

Yes liquorice is a good source of iron.

DH wonders why when he scoffs down a whole pack of liquorice allsorts he gets tummy pains *rolls eyes*:rotfl:

Rach; they were £2 for 6! I've got 3 black and 3 white with 2 hooks, I am sure I could pop one in the post to you if its the 2 hook ones your after?! I only really need 2 of each so I have 2 spare!
