People have told me I'm a madwoman when they've seen me out with my monsters :o Up to and including Twin1's school teacher from last year! I'll let her off though because she's lovely and actually does know how much extra work the twins have been with their varying issues :D

Well I fell asleep, and I'm probably going to be late for school as I was going to catch the early bus, but hey ho!

Why has everyone got footballs in their cots? :confused smiley:

Nice car tinks, hopefully I will be able to get sure start grant as well as hipg then will actually be able to sell my car and get a half decent 7 seater. OH has bought a towing trailer so that we can have a newer one that's dead and he can fix it :rotfl:

Ooo, nice car Tink :D DH's stepmum bought a Jazz recently and it's lovely. Tons of room in the back (even for a 6-footer like me) and a decent boot. I was mighty impressed. (But not enough to consider changing my Mini :p) Ahhh, and I remember the excitement of waiting for my Mini - except I had to wait 2 months as it had to be built for me. I was a complete nightmare for those 2 months!! :rotfl:

    Nice Car Tinks!!! :D

Bigbird... I wana Mini :( I was about to buy one before I fell pregnant but then I got an Astra 3 months ago. I wanted 5 doors as with my back being bad I didn't fancy bending over seats to get the baby out. I still would love a Mini tho :(

Thanks guys I wanted a Mini too I wanted the Works Cooper S I test drove one it was the most amazing handelling car :D I too was not allowed one as the whole point was that I have a 3 door car now and that a 5 door one would be more pratical for baby. At least I got to pick the sports model one so not all compromise ;):p

We have the tennis on in work so actual work has come to a bit of a stand still :rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi All

    Well what a bloody day

Went to cash point before the school run and doctors and it was out of order.

Got lift to mother in laws with sister in law

Sister in law took me to hospital an hour later fro my appointment with the consultant.

Dropped me off, went to use cash point in hospital - out of order

Saw consultant - need to go tomorrow at 2pm to start intravenous iron therapy -must go tomorrow, monday and wednesday at 2pm although tomorrow will be a long day because they have to allergy test me with it first  Now scared poopless as I hate medicines etc at teh best of times and have a phobia of havign an allergic reaction - no idea if boyfriend can make it. Good news is babe is 4/5ths engaged now

Finished appointment - had to walk to morrisons that was 20 minutes from the hospital to a cash point - only to get there and be told my overdraft was removed!

Rang mother in law who came and colelcted me

Home - rang bank and burst into tears - so kind lady gave me a smaller overdraft and said i could have £70 today

Back to town to get my £70 fro a food shop but felt so miserable by then I gave up, ate a plate fo chips and came home.

Scared poopless of this intravenous stuff tomorrow - don't really want to have it done and the consultant said it wont even be of any benefit for the birth because I'm due a week today and it takes about 4-6 weeks to have any benefits so cant see why they are stressing me out over it.

Now sat here seriously debating caster oil and orange juice to get her moving so I can just start regular iron therapy if I can get her out asap. Instead have settled for the strongest/sweetest coffee I can stomach! a bus ride home sat over the wheel arch, a walk down and back to the school and a hot shower. Might even jump the boyfriend later if hes lucky.
    Time to find me again

Welllll DH thinks I have an admirer!!!:p:rotfl:

A bloke keeps knocking at the door for silly reasons!!

Going out for foodies later and to the 10% off maternity shop evening so I thought I'd pop into a few places to get a few more bits in preparation:

Holland and Barrett - RLT and Arnica tablets probably. Calcium I'm unsure about??? Would having a packet of Angel Delight everyday increase my calcium enough??;):rotfl:

Rescue Remedy - mine was nearly out of date:eek:

Boots - Maternity pads... anyone getting/got those mattress protector mat thingies?? Teeth cleaning equipment for hospital bag:D

    M&S - 10% off voucher CAKE!!!:j

    sammy - (((hugs)))

I've had months of the iron intravenously before. It's really not that bad hun but I did have a bad reaction once. My arm was in agony so that's something to watch out for. Take a book/mag or something.

My Mini's a Cooper S ;) Not a Works tho - I didn't think the extra £3.5k was worth it just to shave half a second off the 0-60 time. Especially since I doubt mine has ever done 0-60 in the 7 seconds it apparently can do - certainly not with me driving, anyway! Maybe with DH driving... They do handle well, but the trade off for that is that they are incredibly uncomfortable over all but the smoothest roads. I feel like my teeth are being shaken out of my head most of the time. Plus they don't so much have a boot as an extra glove box at the back. And my Cooper S is sooooo expensive to run.

The car seat we are having definitely won't fit in the Mini in the lie flat position and we've yet to try it to see if it fits in the upright position; maybe it'll fit in the front seat. My back is also temperamental at times, so I don't really fancy manhandling car seat and baby into the back. So Flump will be transported around In DH's nice sensible 5 door Golf.

Am I convincing those of you who like Minis that you are much better off with the cars you have?? :pStill wouldn't part with mine tho, he's part of the family now :)

Yay for wolf whistles, compliments and admirers :T Boo to hospitals and banks :p

Smartie: I am intreged why this man keeps knocking on your door! ;)

Not sure how much calcium Angel Delight contains but I really am craving Angel Delight now!! I have got chewable calcium tablets and find them highly addictive, I could easily polish off half a bottle.. but obviously I stick to the advised dose!!

I have bought a cheap mattress protector, already got one on mattress but bought a waterproof one just incase, it cost £2 off ebay brand new in bag so not a huge loss!

What are the boots mat pads like? I bought some from Wilkos but they seem absolutely huge, they take up most of my hosp bag so I might opt for something more discreet!

Bigbird: if my parents and OH hadn't got involved with me changing my car, it would have been a Mini all the way! I would have put up with the bad backs, teeth shaking (!) and small boot. I LOVE them :D My OH wouldnt change his sporty car so I had to go for the family car! Not fair!! But when we go shopping its great as it can fit soo much stuff. Would a Mini fit a pram in it ok? I find my car does ok but as the Silvercross is so long it takes up alot of the boot and you have to pack stuff around.
