hey everyone hope you are all ok :D
re christenings, well this wee one is getting christened, to be honest im not really fussed but my family(especially grandmother) probs wudnt forgive me if i didnt!! they are of the belief that it is to take away "original sin" but deffo not having a party or anything afterwards i couldnt really be annoyed with all the hassel. plus when bubs is older he will be going to a catholic school so i think he has to be christened, although im not really sure about this.

getting a bit nervous now as my next hospital appointment is in two weeks and midwife said they take more blood at that appointment, although im not really sure what they are for, does anyone know? if its just for anameia or something im not going to bother because im never taking them iron tablets again(unless of course its life or death lol) oh aswell does anyone know if you get another scan at 29 weeks?

getting a bit fed up having to go and see community midwife. well ive only had 2 appointments with her so far, but they arent even at set times you just get told which day to go and the clinic starts at 12 and its first come first served GRRR so last time i was waiting 50mins to be seen. all that just to check my blood pressure, which of course was a bit higher cos i was !!!!ed off waiting lol. i wish they could have set appointment times.

well thats my lil rant over, apparently all i do these days is complain, OH got a swift smack last night cos he called me a "moany b*tch" men!!

smartie.. is it because you don't want people to know you have had sex??!!! lol

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    That made me giggle!:D
Why do you feel guilty Smartie if they arent regular friends then why would you think to tell them unless you saw them. Dont worry about it is what i say you have enough to worry about without adding to it with things that dont really matter :-)

I think I'm worried they'll all gossip about me... which has never been a problem for me before as I've done plenty of things for people to gossip over and it's never bothered me!!:rotfl:

Smartie: sorry to hear your feeling low, I think you deserve to have a good moan about feeling carp with how troublesome your little bean has been. I actually find I try to cover I am pregnant from some people, I don't regret my baby in any way but I just get a guilty feeling and wana cover up. I just can't explain it but then I feel terrible after like I'm trying to hide my baby and I wanted this baby for so long. Glad I'm not the only one though!

I too wanted this baby for ages so it's not like he/she's a mistake or anything!!

Thank you fatty ladies for all the support;):D:kiss:

    Gigantic people!!!!

Finally released from hospital today as we all know how much i love hospitals!

Landen William Ashley Austin entered the world 18th June at 10:56am by emergency c section, after an induction and labour which never progressed passed 6cm, and according to my notes a suspicious CTG. Ended up under general ana' as I was far too aware of how much it hurt with them trying to get him out. Induction started on the 17th June at roughly 8:30am, had no sleep till I got whacked out by general, and not had much since if I'm honest LOL

Breastfeeding hasn't been totally smooth sailing but theres a chance he's still groggy from c-section, but we're managing a few decent feeds now and DH has been preparing sterilised equipment just in case.....

Labour vibes, stay put vibes, and all other kinds of needed vibes xx

    Hi ladies

Gonna have a read back in a mo but before I do - anyone got any experience of Totsbots? Been offered what I think is a super good deal for loads of them on mumsnet but just thought I'd double check what people thought on here first. I've got a couple upstairs that I was given and to be honest I'm not sure why 'stuff' wouldn't soak through the outers as there's no plastic on them?

hi all im feeling a bit better after going out with my friend for a few hrs,
on the christening convo, the last 1 i went to was more like a wedding more fake tan than on a catwalk the only thing missing was fancinators in the ladies hair and i dont agree that they are held in pubs afterwards i think unless you believe and are going to teach your children about your religion dont use a christening as an excuse to have a pi$$ up on a sunday afternoon, sorry hope that doesnt offend anyone the one i went to annoyed me, saying that ive been to some that are lovely and im a god mother:rotfl:

smarties i would go see your gp hun hope your feeling better now and feeling a bit embarresed is normal i think, i do feel akward around old school friends i always think they must think im just a baby cooking machine even thou this is only no3 but i did have dd when i was still in school, oh and i also think that because we have such a gap between the children that i must be with somebody else i seem to always say oh yes and ......(dh) is ssoooo excited after all these yrs, silly i know

Ooooh, congratulations CAFC :j Ace name too :D

Smartie, sorry you're feeling crap. I've suffered depression in the past too but I'm sorry this stupid heat and preggo brain mean I can't think of a sngle constructive thing to say :o Not belittling depression in any way, but are you covering the bases - as in are you eating properly, getting enough sleep, drinking enough, that kind of thing? I know depression is totally different from just feeling glum but every little helps as someone or other says.

Argh!!!! Can't remember anything I was gonna say :eek:
