    Hello all

Met husband for lunch today used our free cheesburger and chips vouchers for yates - was expecting measly portions but burger was huge was ok and would normally have been £5.75 each. spent £1.50 on a coke and lime/soda so cheap lunch.

Also very succesful shopping trip went to babies r us and got flat sheets for crib twin pack £6.99 buy one get on half price so £10.49 then had a £3 off when spend £10 on bedding so cost me £7.49 for 4 sheets.

went to mothercare and brought twinpack of nursing maternity strappy nightdresses for £10 in sale

then to pumpkin patch and got a maternity dress and skirt for £15

also treated myself to cadbury brunch bars, mcvities flapjacks and dairymilk all essential of course.

Mum rang to say she had picked up the bargain millie and boris mamas and papas moses basket - ebay win of £3.01!!! She said it doesnt have the rabbit on which is millie part of range which is a shame but she checked online and its not suppose to, would have been £89 new!! she is going to give it all a wash and bring up to me when I am on mat leave.

freebie- I was tempted by those nightdresses in mothercare the other day but I had only gone to exchange something so had left my purse at home :)

Hazzie- hope baby makes an appearance before monday but if not at least the end is in sight!

I have an appt for a sweep in a weeks time and they are coming to my house to do it- thats service!!! Last time round I didn't even get an appointment for last 6 weeks, had to see a GP that had no idea about doing antenatal checks and I had to tell him what to check, and also didn't get a sweep/ appt with consultant re induction (though I didn't want one would have been nice of them to check on bub's) DD turned up over 2 weeks late, and then the MW I had in labour had a go at me for not seeing anyone! Pah!! Like I had any choice.

feeling shattered today despite a good nights sleep, also been having lot's of braxton hicks which are annoying me. I'm generally just a bit moody which isn't like me, so I'm hiding away in my house so I don't grump at anyone, til DH get's in anyway :)

freebie- thats exactly what I thought. I find mothercare pricey anyway for not the best quality anyway so not much appealed to me, however the 2 packs of nursing bra's looked OK and the nighties looked good. Do they have clips on the shoulder strap?? I might go back for some :D

Budget, very cute stickers Dumb question, but do they work on slightly 'bumpy' wallpaper? The bedrooms have been papered with it, but I really like the look of stickers, rather than a traditional wallpaper border.

Threemutleys, definately agree about the older model.

No idea, to be honest. I would have thought smooth would work better, you could get some of those art board things (brain has gone blank, can't think of the name of them but it's like a canvas stretched over a frame) and paint the background, then put stickers on that and hang them up. That would look nice!

Right, I have decided, when I am 32 I am going to get a toy boy! It just seems the fashionable thing to do! :D (please don't take any offence by this I am just jealous :D)

EDIT: Glad things are finally moving for you Hazzie!

My last OH was 15 years older than me. It was fine at first but then he turned into a really miserable OLD OLD man (but not when he was working in London funnily enough, then he wanted to go clubbing!) so I swapped him at 32 for a younger one who is still a bit older than me (38, I'm 34 now) he was still a big kid but now the baby is on the way he's starting to "get it" and all his friends are amazed at how grown up he is now. :T

We've bought a couple of packs of stickarounds for ds's bedroom in the past and they have always stuck well and he has a bumpy wallpaper that has been painted. We currently have Spiderman one's.

I've ordered my changing bag from the Mothercare sale - Skip Hop changing bag reduced from £54 to £34 - can't wait for it to arrive.

    Afternoon ladies

Busy day today, I'm exhausted now!!

Nice coffee this morning with rach. Then went to swap moses basket matress at mothercare as one bought was too big, they didn't have any smaller ones. Went to mamas and papas within allders and sales assistant had no idea what I was talking about!! Anyway was looking round the jumble sale that is TK Maxx and had a small moses basket matress for £8, got it home and is a tad small width ways (maybe a couple of cms) - is this a prob or should I get one from mamas and papas for an extra £6 and will mean a trip out as well???

My travel system arrived this morning, only things is don't know where to store it for now.

    *falls off chair in shock*

MW actually rang me today like she said she would..

Can she come see me at home? ... Nope
Can I ask why? ... You can... *awkward silence*... why? ... because I don't want to feel like I am being bullied into something I am absolutely not happy with or going to give in to.
Will you come to the clinic next Wednesday, I promise we will not be bullying you into anything? ... Nope.. and that is what they said last time.. This time I am sticking to my guns.. FIRMLY!
Can we send the booking stuff through to Leeds? ... Yes that you can do!
How will you get there? .. erm, in the car! I do early, I don't do quick! (watch this one be a 10 minute labour lol [as if!!])
Should it happen that you HAVE to come to the hospital here. Are there any consultants you WILL see? ... Nope.. and I won't be coming.. I'd rather give birth in the Australian outback with the spiders and snakes!
Can we write a birth plan? ... You can, but not for me!
What pain relief would you like? ... right now? morphine my ear is killing me!
Will you go see the GP? ... not unless I am ill
May we send a copy of the 'care plan' to the GP? ... yes of course.. he knows exactly what I am like so will just laugh.
What about the baby checks after it is born? ... what about them? .. Will the GP do them? ... Nope.. unless my child is ill it won't be going to any. I don't vaccinate though I am ok with it having the Vit K at birth.
What about the postnatal care from the MW? Will it be ok for us to come to the house then? ... At the moment yes, but I am highly tempramental so may change my mind!

Finally.. the bloods.. (cue giggling) ... The last lot show you are anaemic.. I know... *spend 10 minutes exlaining why I cannot take iron supplements.will not take iron supplements*

And the anti-bodies.. we need to do 2 weekly bloods.. but the last lot we have results for hadn't changed much from the first lot.. and we don't have the last lot back yet so doing any more might not even be worth it.. plus we don't have OH's bloods back so they may be completely pointless anyway as the baby may not even have the antigen my bloods wants to attack.. so.. when we have those results I shall examine them myself and decide what to do rather than proceeding blindly now... ok, I shall chase those up for you and send you them through the post.

Right, so.. we can't come to you so would you accept an open appointment to the Wednesday clinic? .. ok, thank you..

And do you have the contact numbers? ... no they were all scribbled out when I said I wouldn't be having the baby here ... oh!? Who by? .. you!! ... oh.. *awkward pause*.. well I shall include them in with the blood results ... Thank you :D

That felt like a minor victory..

They are doing the referral to Leeds I wanted them to do at booking.
They are chasing the blood results we have no record of.

I remained calm and polite and didn't strop.. other than when she asked if I would consider seeing the evil lying PoS consultant that tried killing DD5.. I just said he is to be kept away from me as I will not be responsible for anything said or done to him!! Other than that I was fairly civilised..

Do you mean a couple of centimeteres total or each side. If its the former i cant see problem if its the latter then they may get little arms and legs trapped. It is a big maybe though as they arent in them for very long and rarely get to the stage of moving about enough to get trapped before they are too big for them :-)
