I guess all I need now is a nappy bucket and some tea tree oil and I'm all set to go (oh, and a baby would be useful too) Where's a good place to get a nappy bucket from?
I saw ones with what appeared to be good fitting lids in my local TK Maxx a couple of months back, maybe yours has some? Think they were about a fiver or so.0 -
Mine are pampers babies until they start walking then i find the huggies fit better but it has been a few years so could be bubs will stay in pampers :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Hello, just catching up:)
Dh is 7yrs older than me. We have been together 15yrs...I am 30!!!!!
Ds1 was Pampers, ds2 was huggies and ds3 is pampers...I have a couple of packs of Pampers ready for newbie, but may get some huggies in too as it does depend on shape of baby, also frequency and consistency of wee's and poop's.....
Feeling better today after my sore twingy tummy yesterday. I worked out that it was baby doing a head dive downwards and must have stretched my muscles/ligaments which made things very uncomfortable....
xxUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Bubs has one pack of Huggies, and one of Pampers, cos that's what you had to buy to get the Sainsburys gift and the Boots bag! I have heard positive reports on Aldi nappies too, although I'm trying the whole fluffy bum thing.
Bigbird, that is a fab find! :money: I've got a bin with a tight fitting lid that I think will be ok for nappies. It was about £4 from Wilkinsons.
Rach, you sound like your netmums is really good. Ours is total pants.
I wonder how CAFC is getting on? Hopefully having lovely cuddles by now.

Evening ladies,
I dont post much, but wanted to say thanks to Kitkat? (I think it was), for the info about silver cross. Got my voucher today and ordered my beanie - all free so very mse.
Also got my Tesco vouchers, took long enough. Is the freebie set(if bought with a pack of nappies) any good?
I am starting to get my hospital bag ready, and wanted to ask if any more experienced ladies can recommend the best place to get maternity pads, and breast pads.
Labour vibes to those that want them, hugs to those that are feeling down or ill. And congrats to the new babies.
Oh and my other half is 7 years older me, and I love winding him up about zimmer frames.0 -

Hassle: no prob about the silvercross voucher, I was suprised to get it and actually get an item free! I got the owl beanie, it's only small but seems quite sweet! It came really quick!
My friend came over for dinner tonight and just left. He told me I actually look slimmer just with a bit of a baby bump at the front so that was sweet of him!
Re: pampers vs huggies, I have no idea but have both as it's what I had vouchers for plus to get the freebies from boots/ tesco. I'm just going to see what works best. Will also be trying some supermarket own brand, any recommendations?0 -
Rach: I have a feeling tescos have discontinued the pampers hampers. I waited months for my voucher, kept seeing the hampers in store but the day I got my voucher they dissappeared and I have not seen them since. My local store took my num and said they would ring when they get some in, but I think the voucher will expire 1st!0

I'm pretty sure my local tesco has them or at least they did last week if anyone is desperate to get their hands on one i could pick it up and post it but i'm not sure if you need your clubcard at the same time so may not be possible. to be honest it just a johnsons box with some cosmetic sample for you no products for baby init it defiantely doesnt look as good as the basket they used to do so i havent bothered this time as i already have two johonsons boxes anyways :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Well Ive been up all night with crampy period type pains, what has felt like a colonic irrigation and feeling incredibly sick - no contractions though. Thought this most be it and started mentally preparing for pain etc. But its died down to nothing and im soooo disappointed all that pain and suffering for nothing. Is this normal I was induced with my others and didnt have any signs of iminent labour. Still got 19 days till due date.
Think I should go back to bed got kids up for school in 2.5 hours!
Jay xI hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs, dust go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.0
