Re: pampers vs huggies, I have no idea but have both as it's what I had vouchers for plus to get the freebies from boots/ tesco. I'm just going to see what works best. Will also be trying some supermarket own brand, any recommendations?[/QUOTE]

Hi all, Im new to this forum, My Mum told me about it.
I am (according to my Dr but debatable) due on 5th February 2011.
It is our first child. My husband believes this is an unplanned pregnancy but he decided not to use any contraception, I on the other hand have been desperate for a baby for 3 years so I'm over the moon, and so is he now hes got used to the idea.
I am a high risk pregnancy because I have Hypothyroidism. Does anyone else have experience of this?
Thanks:heart2:Married 03/09/2005

Thanks xmaslolly. Pains started up again when I got up with the kids, luckily DH off work this week so he's been able to drop kids of at school.
still no contractions though which seems really odd, havent even had a BH this morning just continuoes cramping which is quite sore.
My tummy was really sensitive last night to the point the kids couldnt hug me without hurting me. Think baby must have shifted because its absolutely fine now.
Oh well just have to be patient,I hope that my child, looking back on today

on the edge - welcome and congratulations! There's also a less than 12 weeks pregnant thread on this board which I found brilliant in the early stages! I don't have experience of the thyroidism. What is the confusion with dates for you? I am presuming your periods were quite irregular?Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

jayjay vibes for you x
on the edge, my hubby is a bit like that. We went through a rough patch a while back and he kept saying he hadn't wanted kids, I forced him to do it. Whereas my memory is us trying for 3 years unsuccessfully for the first and giving up just as we got pregnant then him begging me for another whilst I said I would not be able to cope with another so soon maybe in a year or two only to find out I was already pregnant, (we did it like once without contraception and after taking 3 years for the first were a bit complacent about contraception opps). I explained to him several times that if he said he wanted them to me when really he didn't it is hardly my fault he has them, he seems to have grown up a bit now and is over his mini midlife crisis, thank goodness.0 -

Hi all.
Me and OH went for her 20 week scan yesterday and the baby is fine! We told the lady we didnt want to find out what gender the baby was so 5 minutes in she says 'and that is what we call in medical terms - a willy!' nice one...
But im really really chuffed that we're going to have a boy!!!!!! im a happy dad
So he's well, he was kicking loads and sucking his thumb, he did a massive kick whilst we were watching him and my OH could feel it after just seeing it which she said was weird! he also tried to do a backwards somersault (or however you spell it) and was taking swipes at the cord alot too! haha
So we're a little dissapointed at the staff but happy that our baby boy is healthy and well :-)
Oh and add me on to team blue pleaseMFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -

Well I'm just back from the physiotherapy back care group. Not that there was anything wrong with my back :rotfl: We did learn some useful exercises if nothing else and I managed to escape without crutches for now, although the lady seemed doubtful.
Have got to go for a one to one physio appointment in 2 weeks now.
Congrats Bufger, the 20 week scan is always a magic moment!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
