How comes you all seem to get home visits they never come to your home here unless your going for a homebirth then its only to check access and that you dont have any nasty dogs that would attack the midwives when they arrive. You need to move to Dudley pigpen they leave you alone here lol ;-)

congrats sales, fantastic, birth seems to have gone really well x

I had afterpains after DS but not after my first too. I thought I might have got away with it having a c-section but apparently that womb still needs to shrink grrr. Not looking forward to it this time.

On the hospital food, that is why the most important thing I'm packing in my hospital bag is plenty of snacks, esp if I'm gonna be there 3 days. I am going to enjoy the peace this time though, so long as the baby isn't like DD and cry all the time esp at night.

    Congrats sales! Well done you.

KK- First babies can engage about 6 weeks before labour, but subsequent babies can remain free up until labour commences, like all this baby lark none of it is an exact figure just estimates and approximations. Some babies are engaged for a while others not for long :D I refuse to get too excited until my labour actually starts cos DD was so late and I don't want to get my hopes up! :)

    hello all

been of work today and done nothing much at all!! I did a night for the family who I have been doing odd nights for so they can get some sleep with my advice she is almost sleeping through with a 10pm dream feed so wont be doing it much longer but the money has come in handy as and when I have been able to help them out.

Got home at 7.30am put load of washing on and went to bed and got up at 11.15am!! Have sat and watch tv, had a lie down, been on here - i did hang the washing out and have just put joint pork in oven for dinner.

Tommorow meeting husband for lunch - going to yates for our free cheeseburger and chips printed vouchers off at work so didnt even use our ink or paper!! - Must get dad a fathers day present that is light enough that its doent cost more to post than the actual item costs.

aww, I do like to hear about mummy cuddles - I want mine :( Not due until Tuesday though so I can imagine it'll be ages yet. On that note though, how on earth did I get so far up the EDD list  Just seems like yesterday I was down the bottom! Now I'm 10th (4th discounting the overdue ladies)

Had a proper lazy day today, desperately needed one - this baby growing malarky is starting to get increasingly tiring and painful! Starting to get nervous too about how I'll cope with the whole labour thing. I'm planning on water/G&A as pain relief (plus diamorphine - it's the alternative to pethadine here, if I need to) as I want to stay in the nice LDRP rooms rather than be moved to the labour ward for an epidural. I think it's the whole unknown factor in it all, even if I have read just about everything going!

dunno, some places let you I believe. I think they're happy, so long as the stuff doesn't really floor you. I imagine though if you tend to be badly affected by the stuff, it's probably worthwhile getting out and not drowning!
