i totally agree that once house is sorted i would be able to deal with the daily mess and tasks but until then i get one room sorted and the remaining ones just look so bad.

pigpen - my little ones have been awfully behaved for the past few weeks - i wonder if it is something to do with the heat. if so hurry up winter!

I had DD2 there and will this one - I have nothing put praise for the place.

both of my boys were born in the same room 3 years apart.. the standard of care was exemplory which for me to say such a thing is very high praise indeed!! The building itself might not be up to much but the staff were lovely. DS3 has Maxwell as his middle name (I wanted it as first but the coin chose otherwise) in honour of the wonderful lovely midwife who almost delivered him.. she was the other side of the room putting on her gloves when he exploded into the world arm first!

I have redecorated the hall/stairs/landing, 3 bedrooms and the kitchen.. and the whole place looks like someone has thrown a grenade in every room.. I want to cry just thinking about it.

But the baby is so long I can't bend without almost snapping one of us in half! I cannot squat to pick anything up in case my pelvis does finish the job of falling to pieces.. and if i sit on the floor I can't get up again!

I think they all have 'end of yearitis' and 'take advantage of mummy not being able to chase us syndrome'... one or the other will prove terminal if they don't watch out!

    I LOVE stories like this.

DD2 spent 2 months on the Peter Cogdon Neonatal unit there and both them and the delivery suite were amazing.

I believe that the plan is to turn the whole of the LGI into a children's hospital (and maternity) and all other care to be transfered to Jimmy's.

I didn't know this...is there some legislation I could show boss? I work far from home but near to a nice new leisure centre!

fuzz i will prob have to go back full time too, well so dh says...we could manage on less i think but we'll see. I am hoping there may be a possibility of a job where i'd work from home more flexibly...have put some feelers out for this. My neice loves nursery and even though my sil is now off on ML with her 2nd and not going back they are keeping her in nursery a couple of days as she loves it and good for her mum to have the time with the new one

If DH gets the new job we'd not really be any better off, taking into account that he'd be working full time currently does 9/10 days, but it would be a good career move. I'm not sure what I think as I am not good with change but these things have a way of working themselves out!

sir monster has found the info for you and if need be ask midwife to write some kind of letter recommending you do the classes then they def have to let you go. I work in NHS and all is in our maternity policy i did ask my manager but she actually said she doesnt need to know trust me 100% to do what I need to and knows I do over and above whats asked of me anyway.

freebiequennie, where did you get your tankini from, if you don't mind me asking? I'm tall too and have a nightmare finding stuff like this. The one I'm taking on holiday is a non-maternity Long Tall Sally one and won't fit much longer (just got to hope my bump doesn't "pop" before my holiday!), but I'd like to do more swimming over the summer.

Its a mothercare one and was shocked the top is actually long as normally I wear a tankini or bikini and the tankini tops are not that long - swimming cossie just cut to tight where you really dont want them to when you are tall!!!

i have always liked the idea of it but swimming pool near only does the normal aqua classes. do you think if i spoke to the instructor it would be suitable? OH said he probably wont be going out to darts anymore that night so i may actually get a night off alone :)

I used to do aqua aerobics and its very strenous in comparison to aquanatal - ask you midwife if she knows of any as I was told by midwife running todays it was only class in the county (which is a huge county) but actually my own midwife does one that 20mins from my home but I chose this one as its 10mins from work so there are some out that arent advertised.

    hello

went to my first aquanatal class today was nice about 20 of us there couple were due this friday!! most people were 30 plus weeks I was only one under that at 27+6 - but think people didnt know they could have time off work to go so had waited til on leave!!

My tankini was a little baggy and top was long bearing in mind I am very tall so it kept riding up in pool when excerising so tucked it into bottoms which think maybe it was designed to do as bottoms had a pattern just around top to match the top - I wasnt only one having probs with tankini top and saw few other people resorting to tucking it in!!! Wish I wasnt so tall and could wear a cossie but nothing is ever long enough.

Got my HPG didnt take long at all.

How long did it take for you to get the money??? I'm going to buy a tankini when mine hits the bank:D

My 2 boys were both in the same SCBU as well.. DS2 had 2 cardiac arrests after being born at 32 weeks and DS3 was a tiny 31 weeker.. both did amazingly well.. the care in the SCBU was wonderful too.. they were very supportive of breastfeeding mums and getting them expressing for the sick babies and I cannot praise them enough.

I admit to growling at the anaestheist... I had begged for an epidural for 2 hours and she was in thatre.. she came in about 10 minutes before DS3 arrived.... and I growled at her she was too effing late.. she backed out of the room very quickly..

DS3 has aspergers.. but would possibly have had that anyway.

DS2 has learning difficulties, social development delay and a few other bits and pieces.. but nothing which means he cannot live a perfectly normal life with a bit of support.

They are 14 and 11 now.

    How did your girly do?
