I've been sorting the baby stuff out today, got the car seat down from the loft and washed the covers also put the new covers on our old moses basket.
Sorted through the old baby clothes - we have a few pink items and a few blue ones left over from ds and dd!

Now Iam exhausted so feet up and ice cream I think :j

It's only emulsion.. so much easier than fitting carpets and being zapped by electricity when changing light switches! lol.

I do need to do a bit of wall papering as well but it is simple enough

it is my room that will be a pain.. we have to sorted EVERYTHING in it.. then take everything OUT.. sand it all, paint it all have it carpetted (I am NOT doing that one!) and finally get everything back in.. in the 12/13 weeks we have left before Squeaklet arrives!!

I hate the jersey bump bits on the over bump jeans so wear the under bump ones with a belt.. and my vest tucked in!

hi all, any of you october edd ladies already feeling uncomfy?
I am having trouble sleeping as cant get belly comfy, need a pillow under it and am just a bit bleurgh!
think still being in the exhaustion phase and coinciding with my toddler dropping his nap is not helping but i seem to be so tired i cant sleep!
congrats to all the new mummies and hugs to anyone else needing them.

Gill, at 38 + 3 I too am now on mission 'Baby eviction'
(Although not trying too hard as I know it'll probably be in vein) but today I have been playing basketball with DH and kids:rotfl:not running around but taking shots etc and the kids had their bouncy castle out today (quite a big one) so I did a few gentle jumps around on that- then I stood in the corner holding on and let the kids jump up and down around me lol better than bouncing on a gym ball!!! :rotfl:
Probably been fruitless but was fun all the same.

Hello new 'graduates ' *waves*

Pigpen, you seem like a one woman DIY whirlwind, but yikes at zapping yourself. What did bubs make of it?

Gill, my maternity jeans are the same, they are a bit big, but I definately need a bump band on top so I'm not exposing anything, and I don't thnk that's going to change even when I get fatter. Dotty Ps have actually got some new stock in which includes over the bump jeans, so I might try some on. How 'loose' should they be though? I've got 12 weeks to go (:eek:) so I guess they'll have to be a bit lose.

My new jeans are under the bump - I'll try a belt but I'm tempted to just take them back.

Billybobberly - I'm not October, my due date is 9th September, but the last 2 nights I've struggled sleeping. My back aches and I know I'm not supposed to lie on my back, but sleeping on my sides makes it worse (and I sometimes lie on my back for a minute as a "rest"!). I know I should sleep on my left side but I've always been a fidget in bed and I can't sleep in only one position so I end up switching sides multiple times through the night. I've tried the pillow tip recently and that helps a little as I can move my top leg onto the pillow without squishing bump (I used to sleep that way before pg). I think I might try two pillows tonight as I found having a pillow at my back comforting plus I don't have to move the pillow to the other side if I want to do the leg tilt thing. I can't remember who mentioned the pillow height for your head earlier but I'll give that a try too. OH is working tonight so who knows if that means I'll sleep better or not!

Bexta, if you're going for over the bump jeans don't get them any looser than what is comfortable now as they will just stretch with bump. These past few lovely days I have been in leggings and floaty summer dresses and sandals which has been Lush having nothing round my waist it's bliss. Soo hoping I don't have to go back to my mat jeans now:cool:

Gena if you want to sleep on your back just pop a pillow under your right butt cheek this tilts you slighty left which will prevent the baby from crushing the main artery :-)
