update
im annoyed and think the whole thing sucks!
Back at assessment centre today, had bloods, bp done 4 times, fetal monitored etc...... levels still rising. Sat up there for 3 hours bored out of mind, noone tells you anything, although they are all very friendly with it!
Dr then came round, wanted to admit me but m/w argued i was well in myself, and it was a bit pointless. So eventually agreed a comprimise of me going in on wednesday to do the whole thing over again, then went out for dinner, and the hospital called to say "actually could you come in tomorrow"....
So obviously there are concerns, but noone is really sharing. BP still elevated and one of my blood levels is on the up. Told to call them straight away if anything changes....
Potentially will end up with a consultant appointment on thursday dependant on what happens tomorrow and wednesday.....
So thats the basics of me, would love to tell you all whats wrong with me, but i havent got the foggiest!
Happy vibes to everyone xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -
kmckee - I too am depressed ( hard to tell if it's work related or pregnancy related or just on of those things ) I started taking panic attacks and went straight to my GP, he got me sorted for counselling and it's helping gradually ( I think )
I get very frustrated at not being motivated to do anything - so I try one day on, one day off ( I'm signed off work at present ) 1 day I'll do major cleaning in the house/sort baby stuff and the next day I'll veg with tv/laptop, have a day nap, lie in the bath for 1 or 2 hours, read a book whatever I fancy.
My husband really, really wanted this baby ( we have 1 aged 6 already, he would have like to have another a few years ago but finances wouldn't allow ) I thought he would be falling over himself now looking after me now I'm carrying his long awaited child but I'm afraid that's not the case, he only takes noticed when I'm crying or sick - I've got used to it now, he is really looking forward to the baby but honestly doesn't understand how much being pregnant and depressed has taken out of me. It's a man thing
Sex - it's a personal thing, as often as you are both in the mood - don't stress
Fat - I'm a size 14 and have a huge bump, I find wearing fitted clothes makes me look more pregnant and less like a whale - be proud of your bump ( theres a whole new life in there )
Take time out for you, try to talk through your concerns with your other half he probably has no idea how you feel, get down to your GP as antenatal depression can often lead to post natal depression and neither are pleasent, have a good cry if you need it, come on here and moan with the rest of us when you feel like it, have a big bit of chocolate/cake or whatever your guilty pleasure is
Don't try to go through it alone, these feeling can get out of hand very easily
Look after yourself, happy mummy = happy babyBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -

CAFC all I can say is I hope babe arrives safe and sound - the sooner the better. It's a pain being messed about, maybe being admitted wouldn;t be so bad, you could get loads of rest and the may kick start things.
Hope things get better for you and hopefully you'll have mummy hugs soonBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
Sending hugs CAFC. hope that everything will be ok for you.Married 09/09/090

Pregnancy depression is quite common. I suffered with it last year, then had post natal depression and I'm suffering with it again now. You'd never know it about me as I appear o.k in real life I just know that I'm not me! I still get up everyday and put my make up , tan and false eyelashes , its all a front though. Some days are better than others and the weather makes a huge different to the way I feel.
KMckee - Hope you feel better soon with it all. Have you mentioned it to your MW ? I feel for you
MLSL - I hope too that you feel better, as you know there's no magic cure but just getting out in the sun and watching the world go by can really help.
CAFC- Hugs to you.
Ps what levels are rising ?? Sorry to say but as a first time mum you may have to be more assertive than you normally are, hard when your stressed and upset but maybe worth bearing in mind when dealing with the hospital. You're in control of it all.
OOH what we all like hey!
I just had some smartie birthday cake and it was yummy!! :j0 -
Xmas: it's the 60ml bottles, i find putting it on twice daily it doesnt last long, don't know if it's helping as I'm not expecting stretch marks until I'm bigger but I am guarenteed on getting them as my poor mum has a road map on her belly!
Cafc: sorry to hear your hospital are not telling you what's going on, are you feeling any better in yourself? Hopefully little L will be here soon and you'll be feeling better *hugs*0 -
cafc- hope things get better with the hospital, bit of a nightmare when you feel like theyre not telling you everyhting.
I had same thing today, but not as bad, had my 28 week bloods taken on thursday and she said wouldnt hear anything except if there was something to be concerned about. Today got a phone call from midwife asking if id been ill, which i havent. Just wanted to check as my white cell count is very high, said nothing to worry about but she got me worrying as contacted me!!
i got the bio oil from bizzie baby as well but only through 3 bottles, do think im putting on more than if i had to pay for it though!:j0
