congrats to the new babies!
kmckee- hope your feeling better, and i agree with everyone else not to jump into things due to all those hormones. is this your first? its mine and OH's first and what seemed to help him was i got him to read about what to do after baby is born, whats needed etc. this worked for him cos he is practical and hands on and feels pregnancy doesnt really involve him where he will be really involved afterwards. does that make sense?
question for everyone, im getting really confused about what is needed for a crib, bedding etc? read so many conflicting lists, dont know what to get and how many of each item? were getting a crib for in our room at start then have a cot for later, but just thinking about crib bedding at moment!:j0 -
Redmel I am doing a masters at the moment very very slowly did 3 modules last year and will only do one this academic year which is one doing now which is medical law - very interesting but very hard.
I passed my medical law module exam got the results friday and actually did very well, despite having not alot of sleep and suffering with pelvic girdle pain esp after the hr and half drive there!!-- was really pleased with myself.
exam counts as 50% and essay counts as 50% and have to get a total overall of 50% to pass the module so exam I think I got around 65-70% its only a provisional mark and is given as a grade so hard to tell but does mean I can do a bit rubbish in essay and still pass!! Anything above a 50% pass mark is good at masters level so I keep being told.
Yeah getting pushchair is very exciting not telling my mum we have it yet let alone its in the house she will be completly nightmare ish about it as she says its bad luck and only baby she did it with before having her she died of cot death (I am one of 8 children am eldest and my sister was the 6 child that died of cot death) and mum says that must have brought bad luck. Husband says its all a load of cods wallop (well thats the polite version) and if makes me happier it can go in garage once all washed but dont think we will bother.0 -

I had two bottom sheets one to use one to wash two top sheets for the same reason and two blankets these can be utalised later for the pushchair or car seat as they are small.
Redmel i've always used the quilt for my 3 from about 6 months i dont see as its any different to a blanket as long as its tucked in properly so they cant pull it out and smother themselves so they go at the bottom of the cot with the quilt half under the mattress and half over. Mind you saying that bubs doesnt seem to like blankets or his sleeping bags so i had to wrap him up warm in layers of clothes when it was cold not so bad now its warm:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Have many people joined bizzie baby review panel and is it worth the £5 annual fee - ie - do you get many free products to review? do you have to send any of them back after a period of time reviewing them or do you always get to keep the item?
thanks0 -

I joined and thought it was worth the fiver. I have just completed a review for this oil and I've just been selected to review this breastfeeding aid (not sure what I think of it from the picture though!) though I haven't received it yet. That works out in total about 7 times my money back, even if I don't get anything else this year (joined in November).
Everything you get, you get to keep, and it only took me 10 mins or so to do the survey afterwards.question for everyone, im getting really confused about what is needed for a crib, bedding etc? read so many conflicting lists, dont know what to get and how many of each item? were getting a crib for in our room at start then have a cot for later, but just thinking about crib bedding at moment!
For the cot and moses basket, I've gone for three of everything. One on, one in the wash, one clean in the cupboard. So for a crib, that's 3 bottom sheets and 3 flat sheets, plus two or three cellular or fleece blankets. I have a couple of extra top blankets, partly because they were gifted, partly because they'll be used around the house/trips out etc and so more likely to get a bit grubby. Bumpers etc aren't needed but look pretty if you happen to see them cheap.0 -
Freebie, I can see why your mum has that superstition if something like that happened to her. A lot of people are a bit funny about keeping baby stuff in the house though aren't they?
Esio, that breastfeeding aid does look a bit weird.
I'm getting much to clapped out for work now. My hip was absolutely killing me today, and my colleagues took pity on me and got me a chair to sit on. I've only got 8 more shifts to go, so can't complain, but boy will I be glad not to have to go anymore.

Hello ladies,
I havent been around much, busy working, trying to get things ready for nursery etc but im feeling so low that i need some help and advice...
I dont know why really im feeling like this, but im on the verge of disappearing for a few days to get away and think, but im scared to do this as the way i feel might be down to being prg
DH isnt being very supportive imo but only in the loving kind of way, he does most things i ask but our love seems to have gone since iv been prg and its really getting me down, i feel fat and lonely. I have mentioned this to him before now but nothing has changed, he just comes up with excuses that either im tired or he is tired!!
Is anyone else feeling low? or is it that our relationship is dwindling away? i really dont know or what to do, i think if i go away for a few days he will realise that im not here at his convienience and will start to be loving towards me again, or he will just get angry and it will make things worse, or i might think im betta off alone?
Sorry to put a dampner on today
Hi sorry to hear that you are feeling low, wanted to send you hugs. I too have been feeling low and it is horrible. I think that pregnancey hormones could be causing this, i also think that as i have finished university for the summer that could be another reason as im not busy like i used to be. I think that i have been lucky in that my dh is been supportive and i can cry on his shoulder. But it is still hard and i really hate feeling like this. I have arranged to meet my friends to try and help and to try and think of nice things that i can do, to look forward to. Is there any nice things you like doing, that you could treat yourself with, for example a nice relaxing bath. I too have the fat feeling. With the fat feeling i try to think of it that im carrying a baby and that it is a special thing and thats why i have gotten bigger and then when baby is born i will be able to lose the weight. I think that having less sex in pregnancey can be normal.
I hope that things get better for you and that the low feelings go.Married 09/09/090 -

Sounds Brilliant, great that they are allowing you to be flexible. Who are you doing it with?
I am hoping to continue my degree either starting October this year or February next year!!xmaslolly76 wrote: »Redmel i've always used the quilt for my 3 from about 6 months i dont see as its any different to a blanket as long as its tucked in properly so they cant pull it out and smother themselves so they go at the bottom of the cot with the quilt half under the mattress and half over. Ahh, I don't think I even bothered with a quilt until my older went into a bed. Just didn't see the point in spending money for something that would only get used a short while. Blankets I use EVERYWHERE.....in the cot, moses basket, Travel cot, puschair, in the car, and to let them drag around the house as comforters!!! I just make sure I have a fair few so I have enough still in use while the dirty ones are being washed:)
Which reminds me, I still haven't bought any new blankets for the new baby.....Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Hi all!
I feel so exhausted, can't actually remember sleeping at all last night and did a car boot today. Managed to sell a few bits, not counted takings yet! Well OH has started behaving thankfully, he put up the blind in the babys room yest, cooked tea, loaded car for boot sale and pretty much did all the work todayand he just did a BBQ and cooked some gorgeous stuff
babys currently got hiccups!
Went to see clairvoyant who I saw last year, at the time me and OH were TTC and he predicted I would be pregnant with a little boy when he saw me May 2010. I kinda forgot this as I had only just rediscovered the recording! Today I saw him and wore a baggy top to cover bump, he told me I was having a little boy in 3 months time! Obviously there are chances it's a girl but I've kinda felt like I was having a boy, we'll soon see! He also predicted twins for the future...!!!
Re: bizziebaby, I would say it's defo worth it, I was sent 6 bottles of bio oil which has saved me £60! Still hoping I get sent something else but I am very pleased as I would never have been able to afford all that bio oil! Only got 2 bottles left!!!0
