Thanks for the cold sore link...scary stuff, just shows how fragile newborns immune systems are!!

I have been fine most of this pregnancy but am really sick of it now and still have 7 flaming weeks left.....makes me feel even worse when people comment 'oh my god still that long!' 'Size of you, you must be due to drop any day' NO, I still have 7 f'ing weeks yet, now leave me alone!! I am running around after a baby toddler all day and really can't be bothered with people telling me I look tired. I am also secretly worried about how on earth I am going to deal with a baby toddler and a baby again..... It was hard enough last time and they were my only two, now I will still have them and these two youngies to look after, feeling very despondant. I have wondered why an earth I am doing this AGAIN..I am sure I will just get on with it, but at the moment I just want to hibernate:(

BIG labour vibes to MGEB and Skintgypsy and hopefully your induction goes ahead today BSM

I guess it doesn't help the fact that his mum isn't happy that we're having a girl (God knows why) which again sets me off nearly crying....God I'm pathetic. Feels like such a Bad Day.

    Sorry for the rant...

I cant get over anyone being angry or annoyed at the sex of a baby! That's ridiculous... I know my inlaws are hoping for a girl as there arent ANY on hubby's side of family! All boys.. But I dont mind and neither will they as its just another to add to the football team! Just ignore anyone who thinks that way- they are clearly not worth the air you breathe- regardless if they are family or not.

I just wanted to let you know i spotted in Wilkinsons today that they are doing 75% off the hire of mama tens machines. Instead of being £27.50 it is £6.87. You hire them for 6 weeks in total and it is delivered to your home. Hope that it helps someone :)

Will be more chatty from now on

    Chat soon

    xx

Thanks! :) Have been umming and ahhing over the TENS machine situation but might have to go for it now after hurrendous SPD and back pain.

Had M/W appointment yesterday, had the same one for the past 5 apps and she's lovely so im very lucky. Anyway, says on my notes that head is FIXED.. meaning its very much engaged. :j :T (Been low lying head for past 2/3 months anyway.) Did anyone else get period pains whilst head moved down? Been prescribed cocodamol for back and tummy pains.. at least I dont have to ration it anymore!

BTW, Will have to stop posting at the end of pages as I think I keep getting 'overlooked'... :( I know it sounds pathetic but its happened more than a few times... maybe im just not that interesting?! :o

Anyway, asked a few pages back:

A question for those over 35 weeks... Has bubs got into a sleeping pattern/are there certain times when they are very active. Its just that M/W told me that this should reflect their sleeping patterns once born. I hope thats true as bubs is up and messing at 12 midnite, sleeps all the way through (or is that me??) and isnt up until 7:30am! Fingers crossed and wishful thinking! :)

GOOD LUCK TO BSM AND MGEB!

Michelle, yeah I get a sort of crampy feeling whenever bubs decides to go upside down. Cheeky monkey normally does it when I'm about to start walking home from work too.

Nene, that's so awful not wanting a girl - any baby is a blessing whatever sex they are, and I'm sure your little lady will be a great addition. I went to school with some boys that were part of a family of 10 boys, so you really could go on endlessly trying to get the 'right' one. Thankfully no one in our family cares what gender bubs is. I think OH would be safer with a boy though - don't think he could cope with lads being near his little princess when she's bigger :D

  • Ah thank you ladies - keep em coming, BSM and I really appretiate all the labour vibes!

And BSM thank you - even though it's not nice to be in this situ, it is nice when someone steps up and says they know exactly how you feel - makes me feel more like it's actually ok to feel like this and i'm not such a plum - I have my fingers crossed tightly for you today :)

Nene - Your mother in law sounds like an ignorant cow...little girls are lovely and if she doesn't like it well she'll have to lump it won't she - if i were you i'd purposely wind her up by being extra happy and beaming about it around her, just to get on her nerves even more :D Or she might come around to the idea...you never know. And i can tell you there is no real difference in how it feels to carry a boy than a girl - in fact i had a nice easy preg with DD :D

Michelle - Yes to the period pains, grinding on the pelvis and to the needing to wee loads more when they are further down. Sometimes bubs will shift and push my bladder and i'll feel like i'm gonna pee mysefl and panic for a split second, lol. :D
Also yes my bubs has a sleeping pattern but is deffo not as well behaved as yours, lol - mine likes to wake up mid dinner and through the night kicking and 'playing' for what feels like ages. You are very lucky - or a very deep sleeper, haha!

Oh I don't care really anymore because she has a few screws loose anyway. She'll sit there and just randomly start laughing to herself....O_o

She loves telling me how easy it was having my OH growing up. Never did this, never cried, was good as gold, but not like girls as girls are meant to be harder...I just want to say my DD has been amazing. She slept through the night at 5 months, is the smartest girl I've seen for her age and is no hassel at all, well, she wasn't, then she hit 2 :D :rotfl:

BSM... hope you've managed to get in this morning!! I have been warned it's always short staffed there. Hope my bean decides to arrive at a quiet time ;)

I think bean has had a good old shuffle around which is good news as I have another scan on Mon so hopefully they'll be able to see him properly this time!! I will be so !!!!!! off if he's still hiding :(

My bump seems to be up early in the morning, sleep in the day and start booting me again at about 5pm!

Is it true that hair dyes don't take when you're pregnant? The colour has washed out of my hair and now I've got a frizzy orange mess :o

I was wondering if a hairdresser would be able to sort it out and change the colour before I spend a fortune and something that won't work :o

Ooo er please don't say that - i dyed mine last night (or rather hubby did) coz my roots were terrible and it's still a frizzy mess at the mo, just waiting to get the energy to go and straighten it and hope it has come out ok :o

What did you use? I used a Feria Loreal one as in the past they've always done the trick when i've not been preg.
