thanks guys for the advise - I'm still clueless :rotfl:

Fuzz - I suffer from restless legs, usually at night and regardless of whether I am up the duff or not - only think I can recommend is rubbing baby oil into them although I'm not sure how appropriate this is in the middle of the office :p

ellie - I dont know if it differs from hospital to hospital (or even year to year - my current 'babies' are almost 8 and 17) but I never had any internal examinations until I was actually in labour!!

  • Thanks Tigatag, yeah,it all seems weird as with DD they kept doing internals from about 34wks whichthen mortified me, lol - this time (completely different area) they've done nadda, and i don't think they will till labour either. Must be diff in each area then.

Sod it - posting my facebook pic as othewise baby will be here before any of you get to see this belly, lol http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?pid=4041474&op=1&o=global&view=global&subj=506888686&id=506888686

I think your bump looks lovely Saz, it doesn't look particularly big to me.
It's funny though different people perceptions.... my work colleagues take great joy in telling me how enormous I am.... yet we saw OH extended family the other week who commented that I was tiny and had they got the dates right!

TT - hope the morning sickness eases up soon and for confuzzled too.... I think it's the worst bit, you feel rubbish, but no bump to show for it! Hopefully you will start blossoming soon!
    Hope you're right I pop soon:D

MGEB - Thats really exciting! In my area they don't do internals until they do a sweep which they will do at 5 days over due, but I think it varys area to area.

Was someone here talking about DIY sweeps the other day? Might ask OH if he minds having a "poke":rotfl:

I was actually convinced it was twins until I had the scan last week - it really must be because this is No 3 (well that or chocolate :p)

  • Oo er - sorry WIldfrog -just changed settings - hows about now?

TT - i know i have raved about it before but Sepia is the only thing that eased the sickness for me, and i had it bad and tried everything...someone mentioned it here (one of the now mummys) and i gave it a go thinking it was just another thing that'll never work but it did, i felt much better after a few days of taking the little tablet things. You can get em from Boots ;)

    *gets traumatized*

With DS I remember horrible consultant man giving me internals from about 35/36 weeks:eek::eek::eek: It was an awful experience and I really don't think it was necessary. I was only 17:o

Thankgoodness things are different now.... I hope!!!

*tries to shove the memories to the back of the mind again*

  • And for the DIY sweep - i was kindof hinting at that to hubbie, lol :D ...but there ended up being nothing to sweep as it was all 'open' and 'clear (no plug)'....ewww sorry TMI again!
