My Dad started that one, I cant take the credit for it....

but so far every one of them that i've seen has had some borderline mental issue...
One of them is quite nice with it though so I'm gonna be requesting her this week :)

  • Ok adjusted setting and i'll try again - you may just be able to see this: http://www.facebook.com/editprofile.php?sk=interests#!/photo.php?pid=4041474&id=506888686

I think thats no good about scrapping all internals - i hate them but i think it's nice to know how dilated you are and how your progressing. Also i thought it was quite important not to push till fully dilated so as to not internally tear - basically some people get the urge to push when their cervix is still 'lipped' so having a midwife telling you not just yet would be handy (even though it is sooooo hard to resist that urge to push - they were trying to get the spinal in me for the c-section but i couldn't help pushing still).

It's true - hubby did admit he was amazed that he got to actually touch babys head - even i didn't think he'd be anywhere near bubs. As for DIY sweep - if i could reach myself i would have been too embarrassed to ask hubby to try and checked myself. Lol, but as i couldn't reach i thought sod it and asked :D

CAFC - oh i'm sorry - me too, i love my food! I get upset when i can't finish my dinner lol...coz truth is i'd eat till the plate is completely clear, just can't physically cant get any more in without making myself feel sick. And bubs is proving a nightmare as he likes to wake up and 'play' whenever dinner is ready - there is nothing worse than being kicked in the stomach/lungs/ribs while trying to eat :(

Hope you had a good bday suzy.

Crazy I had bad dizzy spells at 14 weeks was off work for 2 weeks one doc thought it was labyrnthitis, one didn't but is so horrible feeling - felt would pass out all the time.

Love big bump pics, makes me scared that I will get to that size as only have small bump at mo

Looking for a bit of advise: got a sharp pain just below my belly button and it's very sore, sure it's getting worse. Baby keeps kicking. Could this be any cause for concern or just stretching? Or even a pulled muscle? Advise please!!

    Hi Everyone,

Having a poorly day today :(
have felt hungover since yesterday and nearly fainted on the bus today - scary. not sure if its due to bubs or labrynthsitis (can't spell it) which has been going round my work recently. I'm now 18 weeks and wishing the time is going to fly by as I can't wait to have another little one in the house.
Have been using all my vouchers to collect nappies and have bought one little outfit (the hungry caterpillar sleepsuit) not too fond of the neutral clothes going about just now. did a major clearout of the cellar at the weekend and found an obscene amount of clothes that we had for DS2, going to put most of them on ebay but have kept some of the neutral bits for this one, although it feels a bit strange as I'm a bit like but thats Leo's clothes.
Think we have picked a travel system we want, exactly the same as the last time although the price has went up, the design is not as nice and you get less for your money - really should've kept the last one!!
Also ordered an angelsounds doppler at the weekend so looking forward to getting that soon, think it will help my boys to bond with the bump as they are always at school / nursery when i have appointments.

Sending hugs to all that need, hope things are progressing nicely Choccy xx

Oh and if any newbies / oldies lol want to add me on facebook I'm Steph George profile pic is me and two sons one is a proper red head xx

    Hi CT

Labyrinthitis is HORRIBLE - I suffer with it from time to time and all I can do to stop it is lay in bed. It's not actually contagious but infections that can go along with it are so it might be best so see your GP - we dont want you fainting on any busses.

I so agree with you on the neutral baby clothes front - when I was pregnant with my 17 year old you could get loads of stuff in neutral colours but now, as more and more parents find out the sex they are just getting less and less.

Let us know how you get on with the doppler as I am considering getting one!

I was getting a sharp pain this morning... right where I know bubs is. I'm guessing it was stretching pains. They've stopped now. Maybe it's the same sort of thing??

Can someone come and take a photo of bump please???;):D:A:rotfl:DH has been trying to take one but all the pics looked crap. Don't suppose it helps that I'm wearing a black top!! We'll try again when we're at the beach or something... and I'll make sure I'm wearing a better top!:D

Kitkat i get very sore around my belly button sometimes for me its just the skin stretching ( can feel like tis going to split sometimes) and subsides after a day or so once the growth spurt has finished i rub loads of bio oil in to make the skin a bit more supple but other than that i dont think there is much you can do other than put up with it for a while. If it feels like anything else i would check with your midwife :-)

  • :D Smartie - anyone who i became friends with above you on my page are all PregClub members too, could add them - Sure they won't mind me saying!

KitKat - ok i don;t know how true this is but my sis in law told me her doctor had told her when you get the sharp needle like pain somewhere localised on bump it's actually baby squeezing the cord in their hand and losing consciousness, then as they do they lose grip and regain consiousness - sounds scary but apparently it's perfectly normal as it's how they learn to grip, and often why they have such great grip when they are born.

So not sure if its true, but made sense when she told me. If it's a pain that only lasts a short while but really in just one spot (how i described it was like someone was slowly stabbing me with a knitting needle) then that could be what it is. If it lasts alot lot longer it could just be a pulled muscle, i get these alot too but usually lower down especially when shifting side to side at night - makes me wanna cry :(

kit kat - do you have a pierced belly button?

APPARENTLY when your skin heals after this, it pulls from all the area around your belly button, like in a circle iyswim..... and then when you're pregnant and belly expands rapidly (in a growth spurt) it stretches that previously stretched skin again, which can be really sharp.... ive had it with mine, and the bit of skin betwee the two holes of my piercing was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO itchy.... just keep slapping on moisturiser and keep it cool.... air your bump out xx

have decided cherry vimto may become new addiction...

and yes i went to chippy
