Evening everyone
Have been on a relaxing hols for a week so may miss a lot what has happened. . .had a great time, felt baby move a lot more and a really strong kick (getting towards painful!) this afternoon in the car. Also bought lots of bargains maternity bras at la senza outlet for £5 and matching knickers on 5 for £5. Also bought pair of mat trousers from mothercare for £13 so comfy. Ooooh and I feel like I've finally got a noticeable bump :j:j
Labour vibes to choccy.
CAFC I have got leg cramps too, woke me up in the middle of the night a week or so a go, my book says to stand against a wall about 60cm from it lean forward and press your hands against the wall to feel the stretch in your calves. Hold for 10 seconds and repeat 2 to 3 times - hope this helps! Also can straighten your leg and flex your ankle and toes to your nose to ease the pain (this helped mine a lot).Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Bubs is busy bustin a move in my tummy. I'm sure this sprog thinks it's a dancer, it feels like it's all over the place. Makes me giggle - well tummy watching is better than telly at the moment.
My MIL calls mine Rocky... she thinks its hilarious when my nephews have noticed my stomach jerking out to the sides whilst im oblivious to it all... (Im not, ive just got used to it!)choccybikkie wrote: »Hi SuzyWuzy, Nope, not in labour I'm still here! :rotfl:

Holy Moly! A DIY sweep... I know this sounds daft but ive just realised that I dont even know what a sweep is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:(Going to google now..)
Well, HIP grant has gone in, said to DH that he could have half to spend on anything for bubs since he hasnt got anything from him really... im too organised and keep buying everything or forcing him to sit down and decided on things there and then so I can them delivered/etc. Think I upset him a bit as he thought I was hinting that he hasnt bothered with bubs..He's been moving house for us! Ive been useless so obs hes had to prioritse! Hopefully he will feel better when he decides on a gadget or something?
Im still feeling super poo. Just pain management on painkillers now. Evil docs will only give me 3 days worth at a time so im only taking them when I really need them to spread them out. Dont know if ill be ok for work on Mon. Got 1 week before Mat leave and have loads of stuff to pack away!

Hello Preggers Thread!
I am almost 17 weeks and due in October.
As with most posters on MSE we're not as financially flush as we would like and so any tips on where to buy buggies and the such like would be very welcome. As you can tell this is our first and so we are virgins (well in one sense!).
Look forward to chatting with you all.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)

Gooooooooooooooooooooood Morning Fatties! LOL Thats how DH greeted me this morning....... how we got into this position with that kind of love I'll never know!
Welcome Golden.... hoe you enjoy your time here, everyone is super lovely.....My first suggestion re buggies would be have a think about what you want/need it to do, such as will you be walking a lot, does it need to fold really small for your car, do you want it just for bab or for toddler as well, are you planning more kids etc, yours and dh's height etc. That'll help narrow your choices down. Then I'd just go on a wander round mothercare, mamas and papas, babies r us etc and just try them all out, get a feel for them....
If anyone still has anything left to buy and is planning on using mothercare, I've
got a load of vouchers sitting here for money off certain spends on certain things etc.....
Feeling a bit better today, think it might have been the croissants for breakfastAm hoping I can get some stuff done today rather than just sitting on my backside all day, like yesterday......

Someone take my DSI off me i was going to sort all the cardboard off the untis today but so far all ive done is play with bubs and play professor layton on that god damned machine lol.
Golden i second what cafc says you need to work out what you want first once you know that we can pitch in with ideas. Off the top of my head if your looking brand new kiddicare is always a good place to look Also dont forget your independant retailers alot are struggling at the moment and are willing to price match just to get the deal and a sale on their books, if you dont mind second hand then ebay is probably your best bet :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
only if you save me from the half eaten pack of chocolate bourbons Xmas!
Ive lost my maternity notes...... so far im finding it really amusing, but i need to find them, last thing i remember they were in my bag.... but alas no more!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Ethelsmum... hope you're feeling alot better now hun:)
Choccy... I hope you've had an enjoyable DIY [STRIKE]fiddle[/STRIKE] sweep if DH managed it;) Hope to hear some news soon.
CAFC... I get called fatty all the time by DH and DS so I didn't even flutter an eyelid at you calling us that:p
What sort of mothercare vouchers do you have?? I still need to get bedding and... I've forgot:o so will need to consult my list!
I'm sooooooo fed up with my blimin neighbours:mad::mad::mad: I'm desperate to move but it aint gonna happen just yet:( No sleep last night:mad:BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Thanks all.
We need a 3 wheeler I think as we will be out and about a fair bit. I am 5ft 7 and MrGG is 6ft1 or 2. I don't want anything too huge but we are not restrcited by the size of our boot really.
It would be good if we could get something that would last from birth to toddler, we prob will have more children but we'll see how we get on wiht this one first!
When I have been out and about the majority of pushchairs have been Quinnys. So what are everyones thoughts on those?
I also am aware that newborns are not supposed to spend too much time sitting up in car seats/pushchairs cos its not good for the spine..... which just messes with my already confuggled head.
Then that leads on to car seats?!
So much to sort out... though least we have some time to figure it all out.
Any suggestions are always appreciated!** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)
