set off the worst BH/aching in lower back and bump earlier by planting out the rest of our plants in the yard..... came in and sat down in buddha style pose on the floor rocking myself, and DH had to get me up..... felt rubbish...

Perked up after watching DIY SOS and then had a massive fish supper..... and now ive got them again!

Im really jealous of people whose partners can quieten their baby. Mine's used to, when I was first getting kicks, but now he goes crazy and plays chase with daddy's hand, and then when daddy leaves, he goes searching for the hand.... I cant win!

KitKat - Glad you got some goodies in Primark. Im really tempted to get some non wired bras that you got, but i keep thinking should I bother? As milk will come in (hopefully) and then I'll be wanting nursing bras..... Got to say my nursing bra that I got from Peacocks (NOTE to whoever it was that spent £40+ in there - sorry cant remember who it was) is the most comfy bra and really easy to unclip and use. I tried some on in Mothercare a while back and found them really fiddly to get undone, and at £4 a go, cant go wrong really!

Hi everyone.... nice to hear your babies are lively... can only be a positive thing even though we moan about being tired the morning after! :)

Well, havent been able to make it into work today due to AWFUL lower back pain. Was my pelvis at first and back of legs, but now I have contstant shooting pains up my back. :( Its making me feel soooooooooooo miserable. I know I should lie down but weve got the evil mattress at the mo.. bed due fri fingers crossed. Also, its boring just lying there!

I know this might sound like a daft question but could lower back pain indicate any signs of labour? :D wishful thinking.... :D

EDIT: REALLY!!!! CAn those who have already had children please tell me if this is a sign. Ive had a bit of any achy tummy all day and baby hasnt really settled all day either. Vomited once, but thought that was because my tummy was a bit sore from bubs acrobatics. Been to the toilet a few times too..... Should I have cause for concern or is this just a late pregnancy thing???

Hi Michelle, they COULD be signs of early labour But as Fernlie says it could also be you've overdone it.
Also, it sounds like baby could be pushing down on something (maybe he/she has engaged) as the back pain, needing the toilet more,numbness/aching down legs and shooting pains in back sounds like baby could be pressing down on some nerves in your pelvis.
If you are concerened it is prem labour call your labour ward and just get their advice, that's what they're there for:)

    BTW...............NO QUEUE JUMPING!:D:D:D

Good luck hope you get a good night sleep and feel better in the morning :o
    Busy mummy of 4.:j

Thanks CAFC, not at the point where I need nursing bras yet and it' only a small peacocks store, I was surprised to find any maternity stuff in there! I will keep that in mind though and try to find a bigger store when the time comes thank you :)

I got a pair of white linen trousers, a black pair, and two maternity vest type tops plus some rather funky rainbow socks :o not many places you can do that for less than £50. To whoeer it was who mentioned primark, I must be a really weird shape because the only thing I've ever worn from there was a loose shirt, everything else either the arms and legs are too short, or the body is too short, or they're tight or loose in all the wrong places :rotfl:

    Morningggg

I am now 19 weeks 4 days and although my belly is hard, haven't felt baby as yet.

Just wondering when will bump grow upwards to make belly button stick out, my bump still very low and just under belly button?

Hiya ClareEmily my belly button hasnt 'popped out' and Im 36+ wks :) Saw MW yesterday bubs still in same position went over my birth plan (although could be totally irrelevant after next Tuesdays scan/appointment with consultant). Didnt have a scan yesterday as Im having one next week. I think its looking likely Ill be having a C-section and we are going to ask whether we can opt to have that instead of natural due to not wanting to go back in 2 or 3 months after to have cysts removed.

Just packing my hospital bag and was wondering how much baby clothes to pack and what to pack - any ideas please???

Hi yorky with having the c-section i would suggest lots of very big knickers because you really don't want anything touching your scar.
Also it does depend on how long you stay in, they tried to make me stary in for four days with my first c- section but i refused and came home 2 days after with both.
As for clothes just two sets of pj's slippers dressing gown and going home clothes were enough for me.
As for baby just four or five sleepsuits ( incase of poop or sick) scratch mitts one hat and nappies.
Also a blanket for going home.
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.
