Thanks merfe, They told me to bring an overnight bag so I've packed one and now trying to put my shoes on lol which is quite difficult when your foot won't move!

rung OH at work and told him to come back here when he finishes, and if my amazon order has arrived to bring it to hospital immediately :p

best wishes for the hospital Delain, hope its not too much of an ordeal.

I was awake four times last night, twice with painful trapped wind and twice by ds1 and then was awoken at 7am by ds2.... not the best night's sleep particularly (again!)....

dreambirdie - am about the same stage as you and feel the same about DTD.

  • Nene I torn badly with ds and am a bit worried about it this time but everything I've read seems to say it's much more common with first births, so here's hoping !!

    Delain hope all goes well

Thanks for the labour vibes :) I'm guna need them this lazy fat baby won't move! OH ran me a clary sage oil bath last night, we even DTD and nothing. DTD was good though, last time (week ago) I told him I couldn't do it again as I felt so uncomfortable but last night was amazing :) baby actually kept still and didn't put me off!

Got emergency dentist appt today so hopefully they can advise on teeth- or just pull them out! Let's hope I don't go into labour, baby always goes nuts at dentist as I tense up so much.

Lol @ Mr Greedy! Our OHs are so cruel! Mine keeps calling me fattie, really feeling it now. Going by my notes (I know they're not accurate) I'm predicted a 8lbs 12oz baby so I'm hoping to evict soon as I don't want them getting any bigger!

Re: tears: Nene this also terrifies me! My local birth centre have only had to administer stitches once in 10 years as they rarely tear. I so hope I don't add to this statistic!

Morning all. Hope everyone's had a good weekend.

Good luck today delain, hope you get some answers. Also good luck sir monster, hope all is OK with you.

We just found out this morning that the wife of a friend of DH's, who was due 2 weeks before me (mid October), had their baby 2 weeks ago! They've waited 2 weeks to announce it so I guess it must have been touch and go for a while, but seems all is going well now, so fingers crossed she'll be OK. But it got me thinking - she was due 2 weeks before me and had the baby 2 weeks ago, so she had the baby at the stage I'm at now. I could have a baby at any time  So a slight panic, but it is reassuring to come on here and read about the babies that don't want to come out (apologies to those of you wanting them evicted now! :o)

Also worked out this morning that I now have 6 weeks left to work. 5 1/2 taking into account the couple of days holiday I have next week and the bank holiday. I was working on a big project which was supposed to be finished before I go off, but it all got put on hold as the regulator was reviewing it, and it looks like a lot of the work I did will have to be re-done differently:mad: But, since then, there have been discussions between my boss and his boss about what happens next but no-one is telling me anything! So just emailed the boss to say, "err, you do know I don't have much time left, don't you? If you don't start telling me what you want doing soon, it's not getting done!"

That's how I feel - I've still got 96 days in work though so not too worried really at the moment.

Off to the midwife tomorrow - 16 week appointment. Although I'm not really sure what the point of it is - what will she do?

  • Lilian hopefully you'll get to listen to bubs (this is the best part of all m/w checks!), plus all the usual checks - b/p, urine check, weight maybe??

Not much lillian... Dip a stick in your wee and take your blood pressure... Bloods if you're having the quadruple test...

Tink, sounds normal... Unless it's itchy, a strange colour or smells, I wouldn't worry...

I haven't had any booking bloods done yet... The midwife couldn't bleed me and I didn't have a spare 2 hours to hang around the hospital on Friday... So looks like my booking bloods will be done at 16 weeks because I'm not dragging the kids to the Drs while DD1s off school...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
