    Hi

I have read the thread, but not seen how much time you have to loose weight.

But if you don't find a dress, or one within your budget, how about this

the cambridge diet, is the best diet to loose weight on, (lilacpixie also mentioned this) it is £35 a week, for the sachets, but it does give the best results, it is a strict diet, but for me and others it really does work.

    take a look here

    http://www.minimins.com/cambridge-diet-forum/

and keep up the excercise, if you do the cambridge diet, don't go to overboard on it, just gentle walking swimming, as the inches fall off in days with this diet, i'm on it now, and in my 1st week lost 1/2 stone.

as for underwear, there are so many knickers/all in ones out there to keep it all in, don't go with the big knickers, as all they do is push it out over the top of the knickers, giving you a buldge.

the best to buy, and i can confirm this is the spanx

gok wan swears by this product, and loads of celebs wear this, jordan/michelle heaton/amanda holden (well sort of celebs)

i wore mine on my daughters wedding day, and it made my dress feel much better, it isn't cheap at £30, but i've paid £16 for knickers from m and s, and they just wasn't worth it, but and this is the laugh about them, they have a slit in them for you to wee, it sounds strange but true, i always wear a thong underneath,

    good luck

Ah, bless, what a lovely thing to say.
  • Oh my goodness, thank you ever so much for asking, it is so sweet that people care!!

WELL, we had to cancel in the end, on the Friday night my alterations ladies friend called (back recovered from her operation). She sold herself down the phone to me, was incredibly straight talking (I love that) and we went to see her first thing.

When we turned up we were sitting in the car chatting (we were early) and this VERY stern woman stood outside on her doorstep, arms folded with a glare that could kill!! We ran in in fear! After that her straight talking continued (she was either going to say make a new dress, or perform some magic). She has said she can salvage it!!!!!!

She is going to take it apart and insert some duchess satin down the side and then re-bead it! To me all this sounds like brain surgery, but she was so straight talking and honest I trust she would not attempt anything she knows she couldnt do. SO I get to wear my dress, and I get to wear it fitting properly!! I am going back next week when the satin has arrived and that's that!

Me and mum came out buzzing, almost in tears that she can salvage my dress and make me look good in it :)

Thank you so much for all your support. Its fab you all understand how it feels, your dream dress not fitting weeks before the wedding.

Regarding the trauma on Tuesday and me being a bit ill (not being helped by stress and volcanic ash) I have lost my apetite BIG time, so there is no way I cannot be losing weight.

Pickl4Pick - thanks so mujch for thinking of me and being my saving grace on Tuesday, you really are a little star and I am in your debt for any future wobbles xxxxxx

Steph - ha ha, thank you for asking xxx

Great Hairdresser - what a sweet lovely thing to say to a stranger, thank you for making me smile. We are all beautiful people on this board, the lengths people go to to help xxxxx

To you all, I hope your friends know how lucky they are to have you guys xx

On a last note, I dont know if anyone remembers, but a month ago I posted about brain issues and a CT scan. FINALLY chased my results and they are all clear!! They managed to fine my pea brain ha ha.

    xxxxxx

Wow thats so fantastic! I'm really soooo soooo happy for you. I suffer from mad, mad insomnia and whilst i was lying awake, listening to OH snoring last night, I was thinking about you and hoping it went ok.....

  • You know when people pull that face in "oh you're so lovely" me and OH have just done that at your post :D We're like a couple of grannies ha ha.

Am sorry you suffer insomnia, can the doctors do anything? I have been so crabby this week due to no sleep, and the fact you can be the most helpful person ever is amazing!!

I kept thinking of my dress and selling it, and saying goodbye to the beautiful beading really hurt me. So am glad she can massacre it and restitch, she really is a godsend.

And so were you, seriously, i hope you know that xxx
