Wake Up Shake Up

Morning all **waves**

I have been here before a couple of years back under a diff name and lost the plot basically, from money to love to work everything went downhill so rather than digging all that up and looking back i want to look forward and get things sorted.

My name, Hamster Wheel, something i feel like i have been on forever, round and round and never getting off and im sure im not the only one feeling like this at times :(

Anyway feeling down and out about things will not sort it so as from today im going to get my diary going and feel better and change things.

My basics are.. 35 one dd aged 12. Have been with blokey nearly 6 months he stays here quite a bit but its my home and he has a base too. He is an ex alcoholic, had his last bender just while we was getting together but today he is celebrating (without any boozy pop) 18 weeks and i am so proud of him :j :j,
He has lost a lot through the booze and now wants a proper life, i know i have played a big part in his change as he is very much loved wanted and feels stable here in my home. Anyway here's hoping that carries on.

Me, well ive always worked and always ended up with the wrong man, (bet im not alone there) which due to my own fault and soft side has gotten me into debt inthe past, along with having my own business a few years ago too.

I finished a work contract on friday so on the job hunt but do have a lil part time job from home too so all is not totally lost, Signed on for my job seekers and currently going for anything from a brain surgeon to a horse trainer, neither of which i have ever had any interest or knowledge in.... someone may just give me a chance right ;)

Anyway later on i will get my financial facts together i know its not pretty but i also know its my problem and noone else going to sort it, I also know it will look great on paper and crap in my purse,,,, why is this always the case??? lol

Im not down im not sad i have a wonderful family home but i know with some planning and sorting out things can be better

:@ nudge nudge :@:@

You can wake up now :rotfl:

As for most people this diary is for me, if anyone should get ideas/inspiration or just a smile now and then from it then its a brucie bonus, but i just hope this time it keeps me going.

Im off to do some pads. freebies and comps

Have a good one peeps xxx

  • Here i am again feeling totally sick and i KNOW its partly my own fault but there you go

When i was out of work end of last year and over xmas i got Hb and CTB i told them my dates when i would be back in work as i was on a seasonal contract i got loads of papers saying i was entitled to this and that and my word its like a wftx papers its so confusing. Anyway i started work back in jan and kept receiving the money, my own fault i know, anyway last friday i was out of work again so on monday went to sign on for my JSA and they let the council know and now i have gotten a letter about overpayments for HB and CTB and ive got to take in wage slips etc etc Now i was confused over it all and its 3 months worth that i have received and i have NO problem paying back what i have been given, as and when i am earning again,. but im just soo soooo soooo worried what will happen in regard to future HB claims and a case of fraud against me,

I know to everyone else you will prob think i have done so wrong getting this money, its not gone on lavish things its literally paid my bills and i truly feel sick, it wasnt intentional probably my stupidity as never being in this situation before and not understanding it properly.

They asked for me to send things in but i rang them up today and asked if i could go in tomorrow with info etc and hold my hands up.... does anyone know if they can deal with it without prosecuting me or am i looking at something severe? Ive always paid my taxes and never claimed or been in trouble this is such a shock to me and i just dont know what to do

They have stopped my claim and my rent is due next week if its not sorted and goes in thats me without rent and without a home.... my fault you may say,, fine. doesnt stop me worrying

its likely that they will have suspended your claim, not ended it, & thats to stop any overpayment gettting any bigger.
If you take all relevant info in for when you were working(wages, tax credits, maintenance, child benefit, & bank statements covering the period) they will be able to work out exactly what you've been over paid & take it from your ongoing entitlement say at about £10 a week.
its unlikely that you'll be looked at as a fraudulent claimant

    Good luck

    Good enough is exactly that.

Feel like a bit of a moment so thought i would pop on here.

Talk about being hooked on diaries i only popped on for 10 mins and an hour and a half later im still here reading...:rotfl:

Anyway as i said earlier tomorrow will be a do day, its dd's last day of school holidays and another day job hunting for me :(

So im setting myself some challenges for the rest of April, i know i need to get them done and while im at home job hunting i have some time to do them so no excuses!!!!
    So here we go

    1) [STRIKE]Ring csa[/STRIKE] yet again,,, been going on years its been to court the bailiffs are round so its time to take next step! Result = waste of time,,, still waiting for files to be passed over

    2) Get ALL EBAY done.. got boxes and a big case full of stuff, might even slip in a car boot depending on weather.

    3) [STRIKE]Statement of Accounts[/STRIKE] i havent done one for a year or so i know not much has changed as ive scrimped and saved, only ever managing to pay minimum payments but not being late so time to get it down on paper and see where im at
    Result = Never pretty

    4) Passports Sounds bad seeing as how im in debt but my bf has paid for us to go to Egypt in June, i have a passport but he needs his renewing as does my dd so need to get that sorted asap

    5) PPI CLAIMS I have read so much about all of these but never actually done anything about it thinking i wouldnt be owed much if anything, but i have been lazy and never looked into it so going to look into this closer......( any help most appreciated)

    6) Greenhouse Planted some flower seeds couple of weeks ago which are shooting nicely but need to get my food plants in to get a good show this year,

    7) Find a Job The most important of all but not the easiest hopefully something will come up

well i think that is about it, i may well add when i realise i have forgotten something but hey thats what our diaries are all about

    night night xx

Thought i would pop in quickly after your post on my diary last night.
The items I have claimed back are all late payment fees applied to my accounts over the last 6 years. If you look at the link at the top which says reclaim £1000's you should get all your information. I have requested my statements for the cards i know i will have lots of charges this cost me £10. But for cards where i dont think i have so many charges i have guessd a bit on my letters and just put I am reclaiming £300 plus interest etc. Ive not got much back as yet but i am on the case, think its worth it for a few stamps. Will catch up later have to go to the dreaded job.
Good luck with the job hunting I know what its like i was there in November.
Keep smiling something will turn up :)

  • POSITIVE DAY:j:j:j:j

Well i went to bed last night with the determination i was going to get some things sorted today and that i certainly did.

    So today i have.....
    <*<Paid my 08-09 tax bill of £38.00
<*<Did my 2009-2010 online tax self assessment and its saying im due a refund of £342 but im not holding my breath im just hoping i owe them nothing and if i get something its a bonus!
<*< Paid my dd school trip £12.50
<*< Wrote to local council re a complaint someone had made about the dyke at front of house
<*< Wrote to VAT man :( re a debt i owed them when i had my own business
<*< Applied for a job through an agency who have contacted me back and booked me in for 1pm tomorrow to see them
<*< Paid my 2 weeks provident loan :( ...( times were v hard)
<*< My car log book was still in my old address so filled all that in and posted that off
<*< Rang Tax credits and changed all my information with them about finishing work contract
    <*< Ordered dd new phone
<*< Applied for two more jobs
<*< Wrote cheque out for my bb bill
<*< Wrote cheque out for some of my electric bill
<*< Washing machine man came and mended my washer free of charge!
<*< Took pictures of 72 ebay items ready to get listed on next free listing day

And some good news was bf/oh whatever he is rang up about a position and got the job, He is a painter and decorator and got 3 weeks work its 7 days a week and its 14 hour days but we just both relieved that one of us has managed to find something.

Although i still have this council thing hanging over me im feeling positive about getting so much done. I know it will add to my debts and i know thats my problem but i also know i can face anything if i keep on top of things,

I got some reading up to do on the PPI reclaims and thats my mission for this morning when oh off to work and dd back at school then its off to the jolly jobcentre to sign on and be told how to look for work eventhough im doing more than the average searcher

Anyway feel great being able to write this lot feel ive done so much and its all positive

much love to you all xx
