I have just switched back to British Gas i pay about £66 for both gas and electric. I live in a 3 bedroom bungalow, have an electricity in my garage (electric doors etc), have two tvs on standby most of the time and use my computer a lot, ps use a fair bit of heat too as get v cold.

    hope this helps.

It does seem quite a lot, I pay 70 pounds a month for dual fuel, which more than covers the cost of both, although I have to admit that running an extension lead from my neighbours garage and wearing a miners helmet around the house helps as well.

My big issue is with the water bill, happy to pay the bill for the water I use, but I am unable to find out who actually measures my sewarage use, I want to buy him a drink at Xmas, he is probably seriously need of of one.

That said I am not going to sit downwind of him when he drinks it.

hi BLT , my issue is also with water, our bills are horrendous. I would like to give whoever measures our sewerage a flaming slap!:rotfl:

My Portsmouth Water bill is £11.79 a month & i pay Southern Water £27.50 but i am not sure how often that is. I couldnt see a SW payment on my previous month's bill.

It is just me, i have a shower everyday & use the washing machine twice a week.

BLT you should stop bathing for a few weeks and go down to their offices and threaten to sit next to them if they don't reduce your bill!!!!

Let me know how you get on.

I thought that was cheap? I do bath every day and have a shower in the morning, but there is only me in the place. How the hell does everyone else get it so cheap?

    hi all,

I am writing this quickly as OH has gone to bed, tired from working all weekend.

I have just found out that he has spent quite alot of money over the weekend on stupid stuff  Im not sure exactly what the figures are as he does have a tendancy to hide receipts from me.

So I have decided enough is enough. I will go ahead and open the separate bank account and from now on, I will just concentrate on my debts, and my debts alone. He can get stuffed, I've had enough. He belittled me again in front of my parents today, and if I complain he just says god I was only joking. well I dont find it funny anymore.

On a brighter note, all 3 of my clothing bundles have just sold on ebay :j ok I didnt get as much as I was hoping for. I think I got total of about £6:( I was hoping for more, alot more. but still better than nothing!!! I have had some good advice on what to do to make my listings more appealing, so will put that to good use for the next lot. and hopefully make some more moola!:rotfl: I was going to use the money for OH debts, blow that! I will use it for mine, not helping anymore.

enjoy the rest of your weekend peeps x

JC well done. You are so strong. I am so proud of you. After a couple of week's of you not bailing out OH and not being stressed, trying desperately to cover for him you will be so empowered and realise it is his fault and his problem.

I hope that he has the maturity to acknowledge this for his sake and eat some very humble pie.

Dont worry about the £6. You made money. I sold a fantastic conditioned cd of Sting and the Police for £1.04, Forrest Gump (cds) which cost me £17.99 for £0.45!!!!! so i know how you feel but it bought in cash.

Well done, you have just experienced Gestalt. Learning of the highest order. You wont look back my friend and you will fly!!!!!
