So, theres just me, OH, DD and one 8 year old golden labrador........ oh and s*** loads of debt! need to start writing everything down especially budgets n stuff. hence the diary. need to get off my lazy butt and start ebaying again, and doing more daily clicks. will check in soon peeps!

hiya 40sm, I thought it was about time for a diary!!
well after the weekend, I have decided that for now I will have to stay where I am:( but I have decided that there are now only a few things I care about, 1. my DD, 2. my doggie!, 3. me and my health!, 4. my debts.
OH can sort out his own debts from now on, his made his bed so he can bloody well lay in it!. I am sick of being called tight in front of my DD by him, I have to explain to her, Im not like that, we just cant afford it! Cos of his overspending at the weekend and over the bank hols weekend, we are now going to be over our overdraft:eek: Ive not gotta find an extra £250 from somewhere!!!!
On a lighter note, its DD's birthday at the weekend, shes having a sleepover and we are going bowling. Thankfully budgeted for by moi. and at the end of next week, OH is going away for 5 days:j I cant wait, doesnt that sound awful, again budgeted for by moi thank god! Me and DD cant wait for him to go!
Anyway, thanks for popping in 40sm, have a great day and talk soon xxLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -

thanks 40sm:D.
One thing I forgot to add at the start of my diary is I think we should change our bank account. Our overdraft is set at £2500 and we usually go up to £2300:eek: so every month we are loosing just over half of our combined income on paying it back!!! So we never catch up. I have suggested to OH that we change to another bank and he refused. I can understand it in a way, we have been with our bank for over 20 years and we have got a good history/relationship with them. BUT we need some breathing space, and he just cant see it. We never get on top, never.
I am just wondering now if I should just go ahead and open another account with someone else and have all the bills paid out of that. what do you think peeps? any thoughts. thanksLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! Hell yes. Its a great idea. Set up an account into which all your bills come directly out and on pay day pay in the money you need to guarantee these are covered. Ditch the cheque book and the cash card so that theres no way you can spend any of the money in that account nor can the payments bounce because of a shortage of funds.
If you're not already with them First Direct give you £50 when you open an account as do Nationwide and A&L regularly have a £100 incentive plus there are sometimes offers for going through Quidco. At worst if your bills come to £1K a month the Halifax will give you a fiver.
At least you'll have the peace of mind of knowing that each and every critical bill is paid without question no matter what.
Enjoy diary writing. It can be very therapeutic.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
hiya moo2moo,
thanks for popping in:D I am finding that doing this diary is actually making me feel better, sad isnt it! lol:) I think that I will have to open a separate account, no offence to some of the boys on here, but why oh why can men be soooo stupid sometimes!? dont they get it??
Also has anyone got any bugeting tips they can give me with regards to food shopping? we aint really got any money left and pay day is 2 weeks away:eek: I seem to be so useless at it, even tho I meal plan, take a list with me etc. everyone else on here seems to do a fab job!! also what are the best sites for daily clicks? I seriously need to get my butt in gear with these, I do the paid emails etc like archerfish, sterling and britannia mails, but are there any others u guys can recommend? thanksenjoy the sun peeps:cool:

Yep. Empty all your cupboards and your freezer into the middle of the kitchen floor and inventory the lot then post that inventory on here and call it a store cupboard challenge. Bet you have tons more food than you think and you'll get some surprisingly good suggestions too.
If you can get to a Co-op whole chickens are half price at the mo so £3 will buy you a huge chicken. Roast it, have the meat in butties and turn the remainder into soup. Thats a minimum of 3 meals sorted. The addition of Tesco 9p noodles makes the soup go even further.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Daily clicks and the like (in no way a comprehensive list cos I'm far too lazy)
V!rgin Bingo - free scratchcards 10p per day (payout £5) located on page 2 of favourites in the Nekar Island Bingo room
Ch!t chat B!ngo (or someother comapny in the St M!niver chain) - free scratchcard 10p per day (twice on sundays) pay out at £10
Toluna (like Marmite) quick click surveys £15 every 80,000 points achievable every month if you're Flying Fresian or every 4 months if you're a mere mortal
OnePoll - quick surveys the more you do the quicker you get paid generally 10p for 30 seconds of effort. Payout at £40.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
