Dyson v Miele vacuum

Support the uk economy ..and buy a Henry ..i dont think Dysons are made here any more .

Just to add my 2 pence worth - I've had a Miele Cat & Dog vacuum for several years and despite my careless battering around it's still in one piece and working well. Good suction and great design - actually a pleasure to use compared to the previous Electrolux. Dyson are good - my sister has one, but they're a bit fragile.0

Hi does your dyson need to be in warranty for this service? my Dyson is 7 or 8 years out of warranty
I was about to chuck my dyson as the hose has pulled out of the fittings at both ends. I ordered a new one over the internet quoting the model number etc but what arrived didn't fit so I thought I couldn't buy spares for it any more.
If anyone out there has a number for Dyson sevice I'd be over the moon!
Thanks in advance0 -
Neither - Dyson's are not durable - Miele very expensive to repair - for me it's a SEBO - German made, 5 year guarantee and very durable and perform well. Stocked in John Lewis. For a Diy / cylinder hoover you cant beat a Henry - bags are ridiculously cheap too.0

A friend of mine runs a vacuum repair shop and he recommended a Miele, Sebo’s also come recommended.
I wouldn’t buy a Dyson as they are too fragile.
Good luck.0 -

I've had many vaccum cleaners over the last xx years, some very expensive. I now swear by HENRY - they are basic, inexpensive, do the job and are reliable. I also bought one for my 77year old mum, she loves her Henry!0
