Morning! This is the Daily Thread for Today. It is an 'Over the garden fence' type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Dailys' live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good.
Morning.
All is well down here at the pointy end. Fine weather and things beginning to grow and bloom. I managed to plant the onion sets yesterday before deciding it was time for a drink and get the BBQ out. The kids brought a few friends and the neighbours wandered over, so made a nice evening.
Then it was time to watch the golf.
Popped in to ASDA yesterday who have a few deals. Some of their cleaning stuff including Fairy at 70p is very cheap. Worth a look
Well it's off to work for me. Cheers people

Morning Peeps
at w*rk today, so far so good as its nice and quiet. Probably not for long though
I managed to get all the fence done yesterday :j and even better the people who live in the house behind us decided to prune the huge oak tree in their garden so now we have a lot more sun on the garden
I`m feeling a bit stiff today though and just a bit weird in general, think i`ve probably over done it the last couple of days so i shall have a rest later. DH will be home tonight with the houndies so all i really need to do is run around with the hoover and then i can catch up on some sleep.
Not sure if you are still reading the daily but just in case Happy Birthday to
Benthosboy :bdaycake:enjoy your day!
JackieGlasgow - Thanks for sharing your pic of Coco, she really is lovely. Very huggable

Morning N9eav, sunnyday and all that follow.
Yet another stunning sunny day here near Inverness, had a glorious weekend with weather.
Off today so taking DD away for the day, probably across to a place called Chanory point on the Black isle looking for dolphins. When asked what she wanted to do for luch so suggested picnic (being 18 now I thought I would have been hit for a bar lunch!)
This morning I will be doing a freezer/cupboard check and meal plan for rest of week, payday Friday so trying not to but anything in the next five days apart from milk and a few bits of fresh fruit (oh and lunch today of course)
Anyway away to make a coffee, put it in my thermal mug and go for a short walk up into the woods to look for some summer migrant birdies, got my first swallows exactly a year ago so lets see how consistant they are!!
Have a good day everyone, hope you are on the mend Diva and hope the sun shines on everyone today.0 -

MSD glad you are home
NPM hugs
N9eav Asda has loads of bargins at the moment but OH works for the co that makes fairy so i pay pennies for my cleaning stuff but the mark up is huge on all these items p.s watch out for DS as he is on his way down to your neck of the woods:eek:

Off to work today, so the most OS I have to report is 2 packed lunches (one for me and one for the elf), and whatever I decide to make for us to eat this evening.
Take care all of you.0 -
Morning all
Just dropped hubby at the station after making sausage sarnies & cooking him a full english, that's true love you know, cooking that at 5:30 as I couldn't eat it myself.
Off to do the last clearout of friends mum's flat today, thought have offered to help her clear her garage out during half term.
DW & WM are on, should have time to empty both before I set off just after 9.
Chicken casserole will go in slowcooker in a sec & will be served with spring greens, carrots & pots for tea.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning! It's a bit more cloudy looking here but the forecast is for it to brighten up later. I have been up since 6 and have almost cleaned the kitchen - just have the tops of a run of cupboards and the inside of the fridge to do really. Oh, and mop and wipe the table & chair legs
I've been waiting for everyone to go back to school/college to get it done
Both dogs are moulting so its now a never ending battle with cream hairs on everything
I gave them both a good brush last night whilst watching 24 so hopefully that'll help today. I usually brush them daily in moulting season which usually goes on until the beginning of June
Other plans for the day are to go and have my hair cut & highlighted this afternoon and make a dentist appointment to put a crown back in that came out. Luckily I still have it wrapped up in cling film in my purse :T
I'll text Diva at about 9ish and see how she is.
Tea tonight is meatballs in pasta sauce with spaghetti. Both the sauce and meatballs are already made & in the freezer so nice & easy.
Have a good day everyone & hugs where they are needed xxx0 -
Morning All,
Just a quickie as off to work today. As predicted didn't sleep at all but hopefully will be fine once I get through this first day.
Jackie Coco is lovely, just been looking at her pic
Its a bit overcast today but hopefully the sun will come out soon. I have made both myself and OH and DD pasta and chicken to take to work for lunch. Tea will be chicken curry.
Wish me luck:eek: will report in later J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Good Morning!
I'm up and at 'em today. Having my morning cuppa with all the doors and windows open listening to the birds. I'm sure I can hear a cuckoo somewhere out back. The weather is promising this morning, sun is trying to break through.:)
Thanks for the nice comments about my wee dog. I am one proud mammy! I spend a lot of time just gazing at her saying "Isn't she lovely?" to OH - he says it's like when the boys were babies all over again - without the hormones!:rotfl:
No plan as such for today, I got so swept up with the garden yesterday that I didn't bake, so will need to see to that. I have bread proving at the moment that will go in the oven in a while, so will throw together some sort of biscuit / cake mix for when it's done. Quorn curry tonight I think, maybe will make some HM pitta to go with that, other than that more gardening. Oh I've just remembered I need to repair the netting on the boys' trampoline, so will go and do that shortly before they get up.
Good luck today tiredmum with the police. stroppyjock - Dolphin watching, you lucky thing! Sunnyday take it easy tonight, you list from the weekend exhausted me just reading it!
Hugs to everyone else, and have a lovely day!

Good Morning all bright and clear here but a bit of a chilly wind blowing but dry at least.I am going to have a pottering day today and doing some ironing and generally tidying up and getting ready for my holiday on Saturday.Tonight I am driving my DD and Sil and four of the boys to O2 as they are going to see a big Wrestling show that they booked for the boys last October.Wrestling is really not my cup of tea so after I have dropped them off I shall be going to see my other DD's Ma-in-law Margaret and big Frank her OH for the evening it was Margarets birthday yesterday so we will have a good jaw about what she got presentwise and then about half ten I shall make my way back to pick up the tribe and bring them home Its quite expensive to park at O2 and to travel by public trandsport from Kent for the six of them would be daft.I don't mind as it gives me a chance to see old friends.
Tomorrow I amgoing to see the matinee of The Jersey Boys with my eldest DD and having lunch in London beforehand so I'm looking forwards to that
I hope everyone has a good and productive day, looking forward to seeing MSD back online again
Cheers JackieO x0 -
Morning everyone.
I've packed lunches, set out mince to thaw for tonights spag bol, got a load of washing out on the line, fed and watered the chickens and am off to work. I'm soooo envious of the dolphin watching ---- sigh.0
