I normally do a hundred a day at leeds, and thats with taking some booze and cooking breakfast off those little disposable barbeques (with the food in a decent coolbox). I've no idea where the money goes
Pick a budget, say £60 a day, for 3 days so £180, then add half again to be sure so £90 as spare - that way you can avoid the cashpoint queues if you need to use it, which snake round half the site!0 -

supermarkets approaching from all directions do well from people buying before (and afterwards).
As a local resident I'm hoping everybody has a simply wonderful time, but remembers that not all of us are in festival mood, and that behaving in our local shops and stuff with decorum really is appreciated. Local economy ALWAYs does well from Glastonbury, local tempers sometimes less so.0 -
Tell them to memorise where their tent is!! Preferably make a thorough mental note of nearby landmarks (flags, wacky tents etc are good for this). Your tent seems so obvious when you've just pitched it and you're stood next to it...how could you possibly lose it?? :rotfl: Come midnight, when it's pitch black, you've had a drink or two, the place is a sea of drunk people all trying to find their tents, you've lost your mates, your phone has no signal, it's p1ssing it down and you're just trying to stay upright in the mud, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack!
Hope he has a fab time!

Maybe his scouting skills should help here - tell him to take his compass
:rotfl:  Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Rule 1. If after putting on your rucksack you don't have both arms and hands free then you have packed too much and its time to rethink.
Rule 2. They are under 18 and therefore can't purchase alcohol hence less money needed.
Rule 3. Being scouts they shouldn't need to be told any of the above.0
