Woolworths Cheap Deals Information

I would like to point out, that the company does know that there are problems with the ordering system, and we have tried to make a number of important changes to improve this.
For example, a few months ago we started offering free delivery on all new chart releases, and now offer free delivery into store on a number of items.
Price Crash is the biggest promotion we have ever had, I am sorry if many of you have found it disappointing.
I will be sure to pass on your feedback.0 -
Hey hey hey! Give the guy a break!
He comes here to try and help out hopefully save people a few quid and everyone jumps down his neck.
Don't be surprised if he tells you sod all in future.
So what if you didn't get the odd bargain in the past. There's no need to take it out on an employee who is only trying to save you a few quid.
There are some really helpful people in Woolies you know.
Only today, my son and I were in our local branch when I was gonna buy him a heap of small die cast cars and a helpful shop assistant came over and said:
"I notice you are buying a few of those, well they are 3 for 2 starting tomorrow you know".
She then said we could keep them behind the counter until the morning and then pay for them then.
It's only a saving of about six quid, but I'm right next to the store tomorrow anyway.
So I'll thank you Eternal, even if no-one else will.
For all your knockers, there'll probably be 10 who will be grateful for any savings you point out in the future, but who will sadly not speak up.0 -
What's the point in him giving hints of deals when they probably won't materialise ? Its best for him to relate to the instore section only , he'll get thanked a lot more for that .
Your experience is one of person to person shopping , that is good service in my book & I know that Woolies instore staff are generally very good . Its the internet site that is the problem .0 -
I Work For Woolworths Too, There Have Been Lots Of Problems In The Implementation Of The In Store Ordering (called Iso) And Instore Collection (called Isc). There Have Been Problems With No Stock Or Low Stock For Heavily Advertised Promotions, Resulting In Customers Being Encouraged To Order Goods For Either Home Delivery For A One Off Cost Of £1.50 Or £4.95 And Now More Recently Free Delivery To The Store For Collection. I Had To Deal With A Complaint And Issue A Refund For A Purchase Of A Dvd, Which Was Out Of Stock And Not Delivered Within The Time Specified.
There Are Always Good Offers At Woolworths, As The Promotions Are Good, For Example Buy One Get One Free, 3 For 2, Buy One Get One Half Price.
Anyway Im Going Of The Point Of My Posting..... There Is Worse News To Come... Woolworths As A Whole Company Is Going To Ensure That Levels Of Stock Are At A Minimum At Each Store. So When An Item Is On Special Offer It Will Sell Out Quickly. Also The Stock Levels In General Will Be Lower With Smaller Pack Sizes.
Dont All Get Excited, But Coming Soon Will Be A Woolworths Catalogue Called The Big Red Book, A Woolworths Version Of The Argos Catalogue, For In Store Ordering And In Store Collection.
As For The Person Who Ordered The Fridge, Basically You Ordered A Fridge From Comet Via Woolworths, Think It Would Have Been A Good Idea To Go To Comet Directly, For Extended Warranties Etc.
Also For Anyone Who Saw Last Weeks Papers, Woolworths Will Be Selling Cars, At Discounted Prices.
I Work For Woolworths Yet I Purchase My Dvds / Games From Internet Stores, With Free Delivery.
Remember Information Is Power.....
So I Expect Alot Of Abuse For Working For Woolworths Plc.0 -
In that case they are really stoking the fire with this attitude of " low stock levels " . I can see it now , there will be a backlash against Woolies on the internet & also on the high street when people realise that goods are being advertised when there is more than likely no chance of getting them after day 1 of the offer .0

.
There increasing the number of deliveries to stores tho, i think this is just a way to stop stock building in the stock room, they will replenish via a delivery when an item is sold, so it can go straight on the shelf, there shouldnt be much of a difference seen to the customer instore is the plan anyways! That means more stock in the warehouse and more stock available for ordering via iso and online. i read there will be adequate store stock levels, and comet at woolworths, is where u buy comet products through the woolies website.0 -
What I mean is why buy items from Comet through Woolies ? Why not go direct to Comet !0

Forget it, my order was Comet via Woolworths and what a shambles it is. Basically Woolies are acting as an agent for Comet. You order via Woolies site at a slightly cheaper price than Comet offer, but the item comes direct from the Comet warehouse !!
Obviously Woolies will shift more items at a cheaper rate than Comet, but profit margins will be less for them, though Comet still get a sale. Works for both of them !0 -
The low stock levels apply to offers in the stores and not on the internet. There is generally enough stock for the promotions, as most stores have frequent deliveries of stock. Woolworths is aiming to have more frequent deliveries and operate just in time for stock replenishment, again this would take time to implement.0
