I only have one feedback so far (it's 5/5 and glowing) and when I start grumbling to myself about the lack of feedback left I have to remember that I've always bought loads of books on Amazon myself and I've never left feeback, and in fact get annoyed about the nagging emails to leave it. I just thought to myself 'pfft, who do you think you are, Ebay? leave me alone'. Now I've started selling books myself I'm not sure how I view the feedback issue, although my business head tells me never to leave feedback, my normal moral head tells me I should.Swagbucks earnings since 22/05/2012 £135 paypal cash

Sellers generally think the feedback issue on Amazon is the same as Ebay but buyers dont and many Amazon buyers dont use Ebay to know what feedback is all about.
In addition, many Amazon buyers have dead email accounts so never get the reminder from Amazon asking them to leave feedback.
One in ten buyers on Amazon leaving feedback is about average. Obviously, new sellers need feedback more than volume sellers. I think once a seller gets about 20 feedback, as long as they are all 5 stars then after that it doesnt matter as long as any new ones are also 5 stars.
Unfortunately, many new sellers dont appreciate the service standards expected by Amazon buyers and are quite prone to getting a negative or two in the early days which can be quite damaging.0 -
I don't know how many books I've sold but I have a rating of 50 with 5 * . I think the 50 represents quite a bit more than 10% of my sales, I honestly don't think I've sold more than about 200 books in total.

Hi Dawn1
I've got a pending still running from the weekend. They are really annoying as you can't relist just in case the person manages to correct the payment or whatever it is that is holding the sale up and by the time 3 days have gone by I bet I will have to drop the price of my book as others will have come onto the market (mine is a top 100 book!!), grrrrrr
Oh hum - such is life - still I'm off to the PO now to post a load of sold books!!AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -
Hi all
Right just went off to my parents this weekend where I found 2 big boxes of old textbooks from my uni days. I thought, aha, Ill sell them
Now normally what I do is check roughly how much they sell on amazon for, and then do a buy it now on ebay if it looks like its gonna sell or wack on green metropolis if its low value. I dont use amazon as I listed a book, couldnt find it, couldnt find a way of contacting anyone about it, and then got blacklisted and they are after me for charges.
So anyway, raking through the box of books, I came across a book called "global forest resources"
Fair dos I thought Ill get a couple of quid for that
Then I found on amazon here
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/0471947180/sr=8-1/qid=1160489137/ref=sr_1_1/202-1964413-0078269?ie=UTF8&s=gateway
HOW have they priced this
I love the way its got a tick for low price too!
Surely no ones going to pay anything like that are they?
How shall I price mine?
thanks in advance:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
The hardcover note below that shows it at around £16.
That should give you a price to aim at
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Global-Forest-Resources-Alexander-Mather/dp/0881921785/ref=ed_oe_h/026-7493854-9369200?ie=UTF8It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
It looks as though there are hardback copies of this available on Amazon too starting from £15.75
It might be worth checking on https://www.bookfinder.com to see if there are any others around elsewhere.
Beware though that most of these sellers are from the USA and they tend to up the price rather - the lowest Uk seller is pricing the hardback at £32 which sounds a little more sensible - hope that helps a bitAMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -
yes, it helps a lot. I wonder where someone got that figure from- 188 quid?
Maybe Ill get my OH to join up as an amazon seller, just so that we can sell this on there, its rather a specialist book I cant see it going on ebay, although maybe it will who knows? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most?
