There seems to be permanent glitches on Amazon, I seme to find a new one every day.
Still, for some reason my books are really selling at the moment, so I mustn't complain.

I have just had an email from Amazon to say that payment for one of my books has been delayed.
The trouble is that this is the first that I have heard of it selling... I have checked my junk mail, I have checked on my seller account and can't find anywhere that says that it has sold. I have definitely not had an email telling me about it.
What am I meant to do - just sit and wait for people to get narky for not sending a book out or what?!
What is going wrong here?
Thanks for any help.Debt free date - June 2008 :T :T :T0 -

It probably means that there is a hiccup with the buyers payment being processed and the transaction has gone "pending"
Have a look at this thread on the Amazon New Sellers Board it explains how to check for a pending item

Just retrieving us from about 3 pages down.
Had a really good weekend. Sold 2 books and a cd which is rare for me. Just going to run to PO.April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500 -
It's a pain.
Had one a couple of days ago, and then the buyer contacted me to say they no longer wanted the book and that they had entered the wrong credit card details.
Haven't been paid, haven't sent the item...0 -
Hello all,
I've searched high and low to try and find out how to create a new category to sell under in Amazon. I've e-mail them (no response) and a friend has phoned them and didn't really get a satisfactory answer. I've seen other sellers creating their own categories, but I can't... I'm a Pro-Merchant btw.
On another note, when I listed an item for sale under an existing category I got a nasty e-mail from another seller telling me to stop listing there as it was their category! I didn't think this was allowed?
TIA for any help...Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!0 -
Newbie at selling books....How risky is it to list books on more than one site? Is it ok to list on Amazon and Green metropolis.?0

I'd say you're safe to do it because things on GM sell so slowly! My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I have always wondered how to do this and I believe it is possible. they will get back to you at somestage. To be honest I have taken line of least resistance and decided against bothering I imagine it will be quite convuluted for them.
One tip try lots of different searches I have found their spelling and general listings can sometimes be very obscure eg Samsung X-200 becomes SamsungX-200 or Samsung X200 obviously, if you can't find it neither will buyers but you might be able to get them to correct an error more easily.0 -
Thanks. The first book I listed on GM sold within a day, but the rest havent shifted. When I've listed books on Amazon I get disheartened by the number of what I assume are traders listing the same books asme at ridiculous prices, what chance do I have trying to make a bit extra towards being DFW? :-(0
