What is annoying me about Amazon is my feedback.

I have sold two books now, and neither of them as left any feedback so I still look like a brand new seller. The books I sell attract alot of traders, so I have to compete on price by undercutting massively to attract the customers.

Hopefully someone will leave me feedback someday on Amazon ... :(

Amazon is so different from ebay in terms of feedback, it's not even funny.

I think I've sold around 80 books so far. I have 15 feedbacks to show for it.
I can't say I found that having low feedback put people off buying from me, so in that way it's good.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Buyers used to get a follow-up email from Amazon with a link to leave feedback. As far as I can see, you don't get this email anymore, so it's only the very committed buyers who leave feedback....

I have sold over a hundred books, feedback ... 13 of which one is neg (1 out of 5) ..... I could not find the book, rather than wait whilst hunting further deeper etc I refunded on same day, explaining what I believed happened , and apologised!

i could not believe it! Negged! Gob smacked ! After all the good sales were people have emailed afterwards etc but they just dont leave feedback and then someone goes to the trouble of leaving a neg that now, really looks bad!

I am less likely to sell now than before!!

eta cannot believe the coincidence...just typed this out and wham sold a book thats been listed for 2 years!!!! After me saying that.... must do it more often!

I sold 2 books over the weekend and best of all my ex-partner dropped round some books he promised to donate to me - 3 large plastic crates full of rare astrology/buddhist/esoteric magic books in mostly excellent condition, and he doesn't want a penny from the potential proceeds! I've very happy, although always suspicious when he is being nice to me!

Well I went to the post office and asked for 1st class on my parcels and the woman behind the counter put 2nd class on them! Said she couldn't reverse it as it was through the computer and if I wanted 1st I'd have to pay again! Took a chance as I'd already paid £8.
Hope the books get there quick as I advertise 1st class dispatch. It was busy, a queue was building up and I think she was rushing. fingers crossed for swift delivery.
    April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£150
  • Hi all,
I've got a bit of a query on Amazon... I'm a new seller, having just packaged up my 10th sale.
I've not read the legislation fully, but I'm unsure if you are obliged to include the Amazon packing slip, which is provided from the 'print packing slip/label' button..?
I have designed my own receipt, which looks far more professional and is easier to do than the Amazon one (complications with my printer)

Anyone know if you're bound to include the Amazon one, as my one has all the same info on it (address, contents of package, seller details, sale value etc..)

    Cheers,

    Sam

I can't see anything specifically in the rules. I have purchased a book recently from a Marketplace seller (with considerable feedback) and they enclosed their own receipt, including a request to leave feedback and to view their other items.

As a seller, I use the Amazon receipt just for convenience sake. :)

In my experiance of packages being posted to me from various sources, First class post nearly always took between 4-7days from posting to receiveing them. But 2nd class only took 3-4 days. Go figure.

So personaly I would not worry about it. If anybody moans, tell them why and give them a refund of the difference.

Anyway why could not the counter member of staff add extra stamps to the printed labels to value of 1st class?
