Well done on the first sales, Llyllyll, you will soon be addicted like all of us!! Looking at the link you posted, it seems like the console falls under PC and Video Games, rather than toys or electronics, so postage of £1.99 quoted (I listed one to sell to see what postage they added) is the one for video games (I guess, I can't see it properly under delivery rates on the website at the moment).

    Hi Bella

Is this one of the pages you were looking for?

  • Hi FFM

Yes, that's the page, thanks, but it doesn't show the table for me - just shows the headings in very very large print.

  • Hi Matt and FFM I have about 1500 listed but sold 170 over the last 30 days not all of mine are books though as I have sold many CD's in that 170 - just wanted to add my figures in so you see if there is a pattern in the ratios.
    Annie

Annie - I seem to have the same ratio as you because I sold 66 items over the last 30 days and I have 630 items listed. I very often sell items when I am not the lowest price, I think I perfected my description because it really has seemed to have made a difference to my sales, I also mention that I will send first class when they are large letter size to send as the difference is usually 10-20p to send first class.

Matt - you have loads of listings!!! Where have you been buying your books? ebay?

Bella - I just read back to august and saw you asked if I still have my ebay shop, for some reason I didn't see your question until today! I have closed my ebook shop and just sell a few ebooks as buy-it-nows. But my ebay book shop is still open, but it does seem to have slowed, will see how it goes.

It's funny that there is a thread going on about 'The new online postage system' - it's all over the news apparently that it has just been launched today - I have been using it since July so it hasn't just been launched - tis weird! I have been talking about it on this thread for ages.

    Howz everyones sales?

  • Hi Kat,

I will be up to 6000 by tomorrow.

I bought most in bulk from ebay in a few lots but the majority from a bookshop in Southampton.
I ended up paying £20 for a transit van full from floor to ceiling and front to back.
With a cost of £90 to pick them up it was a total of £110.
Within 2 days I sold 1 book for £65 which gave me over £50 after fees.

Slow sales in the last week though.

    I am totally addicted.

    Matt

    Well done randomguy,

You are well on your way to becoming slightly mad like the rest of us.

It's great to have a legal addiction.

Books you have been given are the true gems I think. Recently a lady I know gave me a whole suitcase of book (mainly fiction) she had bought off Amazon, lot still unread.

Quite a few of them were penny books with 100's listed, but the others were all between 4-5 pounds which I am happy with. Pure profit after postage. Lovely jubbly.:D
