I agree with Jazzy_B, a very impressive peice of work, Redcar, can I put in in the overspill second post?0

Yes happy to share this where it will help.0

Redcar, thank you so much for that info - it was really helpful. I think for now I willl stick to over £2.00 a book - it does not seem worth the effort for a few pence profit, as I have to rush home in my lunch hour and drive to PO etc.
So few of mine would go as a letter but I will double check before I charity shop them all.
These new prices for post have been a real downer in my opinion!:mad:Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Only essentials on Ebay/Amazon0 -
Hi all
Have finally opened ebay shop and have seen/heard about 'best offer' options. How do I add these to my listings?? I have looked everywhere and just can't find it?
Please help
Thanks
trying to get everything listed before my new ebay/auction books come tomorrow:eek: which will take ages to list0 -
The best offer is only available on the buy it now. It is usually to the right or underneath the box where you put in the price of your buy it now , when you are making the listing . You can also add it on when you revise listing too.I find it has worked well for me- I usually add an extra pound or two on to my buy it now price, as advised here, and then if they make me an offer it was the price I orginally wanted- you find some people just buy it now with no offer so you make more money .good luck on your auction listings, you will have bleary eyes and sore fingers by tomorrow !0

MMmm difficult one. In general I would say I dont find they work better for me. However I tried buy it nows before and they never worked but when I tried buy it nows with the best offer it worked better.
The good thing with the buy it now in the shop is you can list them for longer and it it is something that is not commom it does work better, for instance books. I found when I put books for auction they mostly did not sell but by having them on longer in the shop I maybe sold them within a fortnight.I would imagine lps would be the same.
I am not sure how well clothes would do in a shop format- you best ask the others about that .
good luck0 -
Just another tip really for new sellers, Keep an eye on your prices. I've just gone through some of mine and I've got a book where mine was one of only two copies when I listed it and mine was £12 and the other in the US was £56, today when I checked there were 5 copies at between £1-£3..so I have had to reduce mine but I've gone for £5 and will see whether the others sell and might need to have a price change again.
I also came across one that I had up for £2, the only other copy is now £32, so I added a little onto mine but not much as if it hasn't sold at £2 then I doubt people are actually searching for it.
In all, I probably increased as many prices as I reduced.

I do sell an occasional one but to be honest people are now buying their stories on CD and doing away with tape players so sales are dwindling.
I certainly wouldnt be spending big money on them. If you can get them cheap and are prepared to wait then thats fine.
