I sorry but i just had to vent. After reading all your helpful comments i decided to start seeling off my CD, DVD and Book collection on amazon ( im something of a hoarder) And ive just got a 1 out of 5  GRRRRR
A dvd i bought last year from woollies someone has said is a pirate and doesnt play, no comm's nowt just bad feedback. I wouldnt have minded so much if it wasnt still sealed and had a blooming sticker on it from woolies.
They havnt even bothered to contact me but im betting they put in a claim. What can i do? they are in France which doesnt help.
Sorry but they have really wound me up!0 -

Hi Almighty Corgi
Ouch! That's awful.
The only constructive comment I can give is for you to phone Amazon on their freephone number 0800 279 6620 and talk it through with one of the Customer Services Reps. If you can stay calm and you get a good CS Rep, they may consider removing the feedback for you.
Books are definitely the safer option when it comes to feedback and returns/complaints. DVDs, Games, VHS etc all seem to be fraught with problems.
There was a similar thread to yours on the Amazon discussion site where a buyer was claiming they had been sent a pirate copy, the link is http://forums.prosperotechnologies.com/am-Uksllconnect/messages?msg=5512.1 - you'll see that you not alone in this kind of accusation.
Hope you get it fixed, good luck
FFM
Edited to say - there is nothing wrong with my link - the Amazon Discussion Board is up the spout and all links etc take you to the Amazon Home Page - hopefully they'll get if fixed soon.AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0077 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board.0 -
corgi, you deserve a big Amazon group hug for that :grouphug:
Do you think that the buyer got your DVD muddled with another delivered at the same time? I suppose it could happen that the other seller got glowing feedback for their dodgy DVD
I agree with FFM that a call to Amazon might put this right for you, it's stinker.
Please report back to let us know how it went0 -
I really don't understand Amazon sometimes. I have some old books with no ISBN numbers but they are not 'very' old so I am searching for them by title and nothing is showing at all. Yet when I search by author, lo and behold the very book, the very edition and the very publishers turns up..
I've even found some where it returns nothing when i use the ISBN, yet a search via author returns the exact book again with the ISBN I've been trying to input.
The moral is don't give up if you can't find your book straight away.
I've half a boot load for the book dump now and another batch to go into storage. I've also managed to buy a couple of books on Amazon while i've been browsing to sell mine..but shhhh, we won't tell the OHI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi
Thank you for your replies.
Ive emailed the buyer and as politely as i could ( i waited til today to calm down! ) Asked why they hadnt been in contact with me. I explained it was a shop bought DVD and Ive asked them to return the DVD to me and if its faulty i will take it back to woolies. I also asked them to reconsider their feedback as they had given me no chance to sort any problems they had out. Im kind of hoping that by being as nice and reasonable as possible (even though im jumping up and down and i know what they have said is ****) that amazon will take that into account!
That was 8 hours ago and no reply yet. I thought i would give it til tomorrow and then ring up ,if amazon answer the phone on Saturdays!
I will keep you posted!0 -
Amazon is acting a bit funny for me this morning. It's asking me to submit my bank card details after listing a book.
Never had to do this before.Anybody else experiencing this?

Hi everyone
.
I've sorted through a few bits to list on Amazon and my DS has asked me to list a few of his old Sega Megadrive games. As they are old they don't seem to be listed on Amazon. In fact there are only 8 items in total for S Megadrive. Are there any other ways to find these or list these, or will I have to list them on Ebay for him?
Thanks,
