Sales have been good for me, in fact I would have starved if i had to rely on ebay..but luckily 2 very high priced books sold in the past couple of days on Amazon. One weighed almost 2KG and has gone as a standard parcel, but I've warned the buyer it might take a couple of extra days.

apprentice_tycoon wrote:Hi jo, yes that's what I thought but when I had a go at printing the stamps on line I could pay for it by credit card which made me consider buying some of my postage on line just so I could get some Tesco points.
I thought that I'd ask about the CC while I was there today and she manager told me that they'd being accepting CCs 'for ages' another staff member said she thought it was over a year - so that's £240 that I've missed out on already!!! anyway I paid with the CC today and the points are now going to start racking up, I spend more at the PO than I do on groceries & petrol combined.
I've been using online postage for a week or so now and I find it easy and quick - however the only drawback is that you can't get proof of posting unless you take your printout to be stamped at PO, so you might as well go anyway. What do others think?0 -
I had a good sale this week - £35 for a book I had got in a job lot, where the average price of each book was 66p, so not bad!! After Amazon's fees and postage (special delivery and it was heavy), I netted about £23, still not bad. Just need some more like that to pay off the initial cost of the books!!
Sold another book which I took to be posted today - counter lady didn't even try to see if it fitted through the large letters slot. If I had been more confident that it might have fitted through as a large letter, would have asked her why not, but had figured it would be a packet anyway. Just surprised she didn't even try!
I know I should post this on the main board probably, but whilst I'm posting here, could anyone recommend a good sniping site please for ebay?AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0024 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the Ebay and other auctions, Car Boot and Jumble Sales Board0 -
Hi Bella, I use www.auctionsniper.com I've never had any problems with it. There have been some expensive books sales reported recently - we need a 'green with envy' smiley0

In the last 2 weeks I have had refund requests from international customers because they haven't received their books within 2 weeks through my Amazon sellers account. I want to change all my listings to Domestic/Europe (rather than including USA and International) and was wondering whether there was a quick way to do this rather than having to go into each of my 200+ listings and do it manually one by one... Can anyone help? Many thanks!0

Bella ,
auctionsniper is great and I can highly recommend it, why dont you get AT (as she was first to repsond) to recommend you that way she also gets 3 free snipes !!
Its dead easy to use but the 3 free snipes for you will last ages as they only count when you won an auction rather than just bid on one

thanks Mishka, that was a kind thought but I've got almost 100 free snipes waiting for me, I used to have the link to my account on my ebay auctions until someone said that ebay would disapprove. I still recommend auctionsniper in my listing but don't have it linked to my account now, it'll take me ages to use them all up....0

I don't think that you can do it en masse, it will have to be done one by one, a job for a rainy Sunday afternoon probably. I think that you were unlucky to have your books delayed like that, I generally expect to have them there within 10 days at the latest0 -
I seem to be selling all my heavy books now!! with the postage costs made a loss on two items.
Amazon does'nt seem to have increased the postage charged to buyer!
I have a few books which are'nt listed on the Amazon site does anyone know if they can be added to their catalogue as I somewhere previously that certain sellers (Pro sellers???) can request items to be added to their cataogue??0 -
