    Hi

I think a photo of the rear yard would also be useful - especially if you have room for a few flower pots, maybe a bench to sit on - something to make people imagine themselves out there! The house looks lovely, good luck with your sale.

wow what a lot of comments.

Its hard not to feel attached to your property isn't it.

    Ok, confession 1

I took the photos- bar the one of the kitchen. The original ones the EA had taken were awful and didn't show the sizes of the rooms etc at all. I took them on my camera on an automatic setting- she only used a point and shoot camera and took no care in positioning herself etc.....

I am going to look in to getting the frontage piccy changed- I'd never really thought about the car refection making it look like the window was cracked. Oh and the "old sack" is actually a voile we have to stop nosey parkers looking in, but point taken, it will come down for some nice front piccies.

Called the EA- she said they dont put sizes on rightmove in order to intice peeople in to make a viewing........

    Hmmmmm

    We're paying them £1200ish.
  • Entice viewers... sounds more like the EA being plain lazy to me, I think most people would like at least sizes, maybe a floor plan.

Also, they should spend some cash on a decent wide angle camera. House looks great though!:j

The inside looks far nicer than the outside. You need a picture of the yard, unless it will put people off.

I too thought front window cracked! Change that one..I would also take the halogen heater out of the kitchen for another photo, and hide it when viewers come round..its shouting out to me,"this kitchen is cold and there is no heating!"..some people might not notice you have no rad in there. Remove baby gate on viewings also..and i would move table chairs out a bits and put vase flowers, table runner or candlestick on table.Otherwise, lovely house.

The best thing you can do is email the agent this link!

Agreed (heartily). One local agent told me that their software was incompatible with Rightmove's, and that was the reason for their lack of detail on the site. They make it up as they go along.

Trust me (and I'm pretty ancient compared with most of the posters on here) - most people want room dimensions at the very least before they go and view, and they want that information accessed easily on Rightmove. If there are 500 similar properties, and most of the prospective purchasers work full time, they are not going to waste their time hunting for information that should be readily available.
  • Never knew this isle existed. How do you get to the mainland?

Other homes seem to be on for 65,000 why is yours worth 20000 more?

Liked internal pictures but put off by endless streets without a tree in sight. Do you have local walks etc beach.

Have a look at this thread for what photos should look like.

As for 'not putting sizes on right move to entice viewers'. I have never heard such a load of piffle. The house is the size it is. If it is not big enough, people won't buy it. They will come and view and they will be disappointed and resent both you and the agent. If you put the sizes on, it may deter some viewers. You will have saved their time and yours - viewers who feel conned will not offer, so it si a waste of time. Frankly, that soundbite is enough to make me suggest that you ditch the agent ASAP. Agent - are you listening?

OP - refer Agent to this thread!

Urgently needs a car-less picture of the whole house frontage.

Other than that, v.nice house. Happy selling!
