Just got confirmation that we got a holiday by the post system. Was not our first choise but a holiday is a holiday. Can anyone fill me in on Presthaven Sands Holiday Park in North Wales? Should we get the entertainment passes we have a 10 month old and i an see us using the night entertainment but would not mind using the bar sonetimes

This might not apply to Presthaven Sands but when we went to Hopton a few year ago, you couldn't enter the main building without your pass so you couldn't use the bars, arcades, restaurant or swimming pool.

Thanks Rachie B, erm weather was really good last week so we were lucky but did leave feeling as though we hadn't had a holiday at all.

Couldn't quite put our finger on what the problem was though.

Isle of Wight was very picturesque but think that the fact the site we stayed at was MILES away from anywhere put us off. Last year we had been to New Quay (Wales) and loved it, walked into the town of an evening, really relaxed atmosphere.

Thorness Bay, very quite all round, not many people at the site (probably due to time of year we went) entertainment really not up to much, couldn't even walk into any kind of local civilisation. Can't say we will be rushing to move to the Island any time soon.

I'd opt out of the passes until you get there and then find out what they do cover before paying for them the prices don't change from buying in advance or buying when there so you would only need to buy them if it's going to affect you.

I haven't been for a few years but from memory you need the pass for the swimming pool and also for the main building which is where the arcades, clubs, bars etc. are

You can use the on-site shop without a pass, and the beach.

On all haven sites you can't get into the main complex without a pass, and the main complex contains everything from the bars to the arcade to the pool, and even the kiddies playground is likely to be fenced off, and cannot be accessed without going through the main entrance to the complex.

i know its a long shot but has anyone got a priority ref number they would like to give as have been looking for one everywhere very hard to come across i didnt get one sent even though we went away with the sun before so would be greatfull if anyone has one thankyou

ok thankyou hopefully will hear soon i contacted the sun but they said that its a computer that generates it every year and not everyone is gaurenteed to recieve one even if they have been before so lets hope a lovely kind person will come along and give me theres thankyou for your reply
