Could you please let me know exactly where you emailed - PM me. We have done many of these holidays - at least one an year, and am actually away on one as I type. But for some reason we don't seem to be getting priority codes sent to us any longer. I've had to resort to buying them from Ebay. Don't understand after having done so many of them over the years (must be 20+) that we no longer get the priority forms.:(:(:(:(:(
Many thanksRainbowLiberty0 -

As for are the passes worth it, it depends what you want out of your holiday. Are you going to be using the site as a base to go to visit areas around you or are you planning on using all the facilities and going to the club house each night to watch their entertainment? As you will need the passes to gain entry to all their amenities.
Thanks for your reply, we will be using the caravan as a base but to save money would like to stay on site most nights.
We're going end of june - will they have entertainment every night at this time as I realise its not peak season? Thanks in advance

Dont assume staying on site will save you money (unless you are staying in the caravan in the evenings) as usually the drinks and food are at "captive market" prices.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!

Well I am assuming staying on site most nights will save me money as I can drink my own supermarket bought drinks in my caravan before going off to enjoy the evenings entertainment. As opposed to drinking at 'on site' bars which no doubt will end up costing a fortune!0 -
Am I too late to collect the vouchers for this now?0

Are you taking any children with you? We (and alot of others) take own drinks in for the children and if possible but extra's under the pushchair.
Only been stopped once or twice, depends on how friendly the security staff are.
We were in the club house last night and a woman (with no kids) walked in with a big red shopping bag, blatant as anything. We at least try to be discreet lol. We buy the first drink at the bar to give us our glasses for the evening and sit in a relatively secluded area....... Had no choice this time as we only had £50 spending money (including food) for the entire week or no holiday at all.RainbowLiberty0 -
Yes, we sometimes do that too - ssshhh ;-)
But please tell me how you can make £50 last the week?? I'm lucky if that lasts a day lol.0 -

We were going to the Isle of Wight but not directly there in one day so when we took our own food with us we could only take either tinned or jars no fresh or frozen as it wouldn't have kept.
We planned meals before we went so only needed to buy the meat (Morrisons 3 packs for £10 - Large mince (2 meals) Lamb Chops & Turkey Steaks. Milk & Bread, sliced meats for sandwiches.
I had previously bought variety packs of cereal when they were on offer for 99p a couple of months ago and hidden them away. Same with crisps and drink
It wasn't a case of wanting to only spend that amount of money it was a case of only having that amount of money available to spend as we had timed the holiday wrong with payday and road tax.......RainbowLiberty0 -
A word of warning about the sun holidays - we used them a lot in the past thinking we were getting a good deal. However on one holiday my parents decided to come with us, and at the last minute decided to book their own van rather than squeeze into ours.
The price they paid for their van booked direct with Haven was less than we paid for ours once the supplements and passes had been added on, and their holiday was guaranteed to be at the chosen park - ours was a bit of a lucky dip of the four we'd chosen.
Since then we have never bothered with the Sun deals and always booked directly with Haven or with private owners who often offer good deals too.0 -
yes it's always worth trying the park direct for their best deals, but I've never found a better deal in school holidays, the sun always wins for me. My parents only use the sun when they are joining us, but the rest of their short breaks they book direct, because they are going out of season so there are cheap deals
