The Sun £15 Holiday, New Priority Booking Form-April 2010.

Just an observation, but i have noticed that there are a number of new posters, or relitively new ones asking for a priority code.
It seems people come out of the woodwork when they want something!!
Also noticed that there's usually a bit of a sob story attached, ie my partner has lost his job, or i havent taken my kids away for the last five years,- something along those lines.
Sorry if i'm being cynical, but have noticed that this is a consistant theme. I''ve noticed it on other forums as well, not just here.

yup it happens every time! <sigh>

I just ignore them now

They have to do what the rest of us did in the beginning,do a postal application! then cross your fingers and hope to get a priority ref next time!

hi, has anyone been to Spain on these sun holidays i was thinking of booking to go but not sure any ideas please.

Warning!!!!
We booked back in the January promotion to go to a Eurocamp campsite in France
It has taken until today 24th April and several emails and phonecalls to get my booking confirmation from Eurocamp.
I emailed the sun and they said in accordance with their terms and conditions we will receive our confirmation by the 25th August!! This is 5 weeks after our planned holiday...
Today I received an extra bill from Eurocamp for £104.50 which we were not aware that we had to pay.
I realise that it is still a great deal however on the confirmation it says basic £120 however the sun have only put a credit of £76.00 towards this hence us paying more but we actually paid the sun £120 which was £15.00 x 2 (for a week) x 4 so that is obviously how the sun make their money on this promotion.
I have just noticed in the booking confirmation another fact sheet saying that we have to also now pay a supplement of £11.00 per person per trip for any of the summer trips ie July August so therefore making up the suns payment.
Like I said I know we have got a good deal but when you have budgeted for something this comes quite out of the blue and we have been given a whole 7 days to pay or else the booking is cancelled and we lose all of our money, so our Bargain sun £15.00 holiday for four that should have cost us £60.00 plus £100 for the ferry is now costing us nearly double at £328.50!

Has anyone else had this experience?

Oh If it still works I have a priority code or this time around but when we tried to book I kept getting no availibility... Is there a list of people waiting or is it too late? As I don't think I will be using it

By the way, once a code has been used for summer it can be used to book one of the april/may breaks (including next weekend which has the may day, so kids are off school on the monday).

I am pretty sure that it can be used for as many spring breaks as you like, I know for sure that mine has been used for 1 summer and 2 spring
