    you're all so kind :)

sorry I should have been clearer - we already have butlins minehead for september 3rd, but because he starts 'big school' on the tuesday I really wanted to extend our holiday, going on august 30th, so that we could leave a day early to let him calm down before school.

Plus, I'm just really jealous that everyone else we know is going away for a whole week, and we can't afford it lol!

does anyone know how to get to places near minehead by train? is it train to taunton then a huge bus journey, same as for minehead?

lol, thanks though :) I do appreciate the suggestions. I am looking at doniford bay now, will work out how to get there first though ... I'm not used to going on holiday without my husband, who drives. Husband can't have extra time off work, so he would come up to minehead on the friday night. doniford seems near-ish ...

Will prob wait last minute and book something then! She not too disappointed as we will go on day trips in the holidays instead.

May well go to lakeland to spot all the people who have booked on MSE! lol

    Thanks for thinking of me!!
