sorry I should have been clearer - we already have butlins minehead for september 3rd, but because he starts 'big school' on the tuesday I really wanted to extend our holiday, going on august 30th, so that we could leave a day early to let him calm down before school.

does anyone know how to get to places near minehead by train? is it train to taunton then a huge bus journey, same as for minehead?

unfortunately there is no train from minehead to taunton, there is the old steam train that you can go on but that only goes as far as bishops lydeard, so the only way between minehead and taunton is bus, or car, on bus it takes about an hour roughly, by car it is about half an hour, i have done it in 15 minutes before but i wont go into that;), there are some lovely places to go around minehead, watchet, blue anchor, dunster, porlock etc but only really accessable by car, there are buses, but as you can imagine they will be few and far between

doniford is pretty close, but so is blue anchor, that is just around the corner in fact, but getting there without a car may be problomatic

Can you tell me what date your email was sent through. I normally get a priority booking code but didn't get one this time - just checked my junk but it goes after the first page is full up and I don't have any messages in there after the 6th.

i recieved mine monday 12th april, i know you say you normally recieve a priority booking, but it is completly random, so maybe this time you never got one

I got the 11th June 2010 for Butlins Bognor but could only book for 4 pax so hoping I can increase pax on the phone. Otherwise I m gonna be in trouble

I booked a weeked at Eyemounth and they only allow dogs in the tourer vans :eek:

He's just a wee terrier, do you think I could ask for a van in a remote corner & sneak him in & out. Can't see nearby resident caring.

I am guessing they will not swop sites or refund me.

strange as it would allow me to book skegness 31 may for 5 people, should have no problem changing your reservation though, i would have thought, in term time so they not gonna be anything like full

has anybody been to woolacombe sands b4, thinking about booking as it is only an hour up the road, dare not go much further as our car is playing up and cant afford to fix it, will cost more to fix than the thing is worth:eek:, but dont wanna book and find out it is rubbish, as being as it a independant resort
