OH proposed 3times before I accepted it. Third time was Xmas Eve, he put the ring in a box with full of raffaello and made me find it :). It was lovely, we had the best Xmas ever.

DH proposed in a hotel room the day before we went to France for a wonderful summer holiday. He had planned to do it on the Ferry but said he couldn't wait that long (about 9 hours!) Luckily the next mornining it was very misty and rainy...he would have slipped all over the deck had he of got down on one knee!

It really was very special :)

On Valentine's Day 2005 I gave my fiance a lottery scratchcard and told her it might be lucky. When she scratched it the message was "I love you. Will you marry me." She said yes, we married in the November and she still has the scratchcard.

    Awwwww I like that one!
  • My ring was in Santa's sack..! :j

Santa was sitting by the fire in an old house in the folk museum. The room was lit by candlelight and very romantic and Christmasy. Santa said he had a present for me and I was very embarrassed, thinking he was going to hand me a child's toy! :o Instead he handed me a ring box and I opened it and saw the MOST beautiful ring. Confused, I turned to OH who I remember thinking looked very nervous! He then asked me to marry him!!!! I was so shocked I couldn't speak!

It was, without a doubt, the happiest moment of my life. We booked the venue 7 weeks later, and six days after that he left me.......

Awww! I wasn't expecting the last line! I'm so sorry - but maybe you've had a lucky escape if he was that up and down!

Mine was at the top of the Eiffel Tower four years ago. Last Sunday was our first wedding anniversary, so back there we went to exchange gifts. Very romantic but bliddy freezing so we only stayed five minutes :rotfl:

That's awful, you poor thing :(

My fiance proposed to me in a restaurant in Egypt overlooking the desert, there was nobody there at all apart from us and the waiters because it was a few days after the bombs in Sharm el Sheik. I said yes, and we're getting married on 27th August :)
