Good Morning everyone ,what a glorious spring day at last here in north Kent.I have my pal june arriving this morning for a couple of days and we are doing some more de-cluttering,this time from my spare room as there is a whole lot of shelving that needs to be sorted and junked.I have made a sheppards pie for dinner tonight and a creme caramel for pudding we will have a salad lunch as it means we can get on with taking bits to the tip/charity shop ect.
I have such a lot of stuff to get rid of and she is so good at helping to sort it all out. We will probably sit and knit and jaw for a good while as well.
Just seen DGS danny as he parks his car outside my house on his way to the station. He's such a happy lad I don't think I have ever seen him with the 'blues' he is always smiling. He goes away to New York with his girlfriend next week on the same day that I go away to the cotswolds.he has been many times with his parents so knows the city quite well.Chloe his girlfriend has never been and she is so excited to be going with her beloved Dan.He is 20 this year and they have been going out together for the past 4 years and are a lovely couple I can easily see them settling down together eventually as I don't think they have ever fallen out and are like pepper and salt together.Danny has got his head screwed on though and wants to get his career going and get some cash behind himself He is a good manager and has a steady job with excellent prospects as they are very pleased with him at his firm.He likes to play his football at weekends, and although he does go out during the week he also saves to get a bit behind himself. He says he wants to get his own place when he can buy it and not rent .He is a good saver and already has 3k tucked away for his future.
I think my DD and son-in-law have done an great job with him
Well time I got a wriggle on ,hope everyone has a good day and the news about MSD is better this morning .
    Take care everyone

    Good Morning,

This will be short and sweet. Work today, then dentist then taking SIL to airport:( Dinner will be soup and sandwiches.

Gemma you sould get wheatgerm in supermarket or Holland and Barret /any other health food shop. It's a type of bran/roughage/smoother porridge type thing (bad explaination but still sleepy)

JackieO Can I please hire June when you're done, she sounds like a little dynamo!

Candygirl hope you are having a better day today and DD is not being such a pain.

HUGS for Diva please pass it on if anyone has contact.

Hugs and good wishes for you all today. Have a good one.

    Morning All ,

MSD - hope you're ok ((hugs))
candygirl - hope things work out with DD
JC - I know all about biting ones tongue - toughest job being a step-parent I reckon!
nesssie - I was watching Masterchef last night too - think they picked the most deserving winner!

Immensly busy with work so just a quickie from me - hope everyone is ok. Looks like DH is going to drive us to Whitby after all  really not loving the idea of being in a car which is in his control for 5 hours but I looked on the website yesterday to buy our train tickets and they've gone up by £25 each. I knew I should've bought them when I first saw them at £85 for both of us, but they were non-refundable and I was worried about there being another strike as we're going over the next bank holiday weekend.

OS wise today - not sure on tea yet as my Mum is looking after my nieces for a few days while my sister is in Australia, and my SD's want to come over and see their cousins. Needless to say, my SD's have not bothered to tell me when they want to come (other than to say, "Oh yeah perhaps Thursday") and whether they're going to want feeding. Perhaps now SD1 has a car, she's thinking she'll just pop in and out again later.

Anyway, have a lovely day - nice and sunny here :) Hugs to all in need/want xx

    Good morning :)

JackieO Danny sounds a lovely young man and very sensible :T

Diva Huge hugs to you hon in case you get a chance to read later xx

    Taplady Enjoy the car :D

    Sistercas Ditto the washer :D

At work already now just having a quick cup of tea before I start. I have taken 2 portions of sausage casserole, 2 portions of bolognaise sauce & 1 portion of bolognaise with spaghetti out of the freezer so thats everyones lunches sorted :j I have a ham sandwich, some grated carrot, peanut & sultana salad and 2 kiwis for my lunch. Tea tonight is a pasta bake using up lots of veggies that are in the fridge and some chopped bacon. There's only 4 of us tonight so I must remember not to make too much :o there is no more room in the freezer hence the freezer surprise lunches!

I've asked the kids to hoover downstairs for me and I pegged out 2 loads before I left. Yesterday was lovely & everything dried so I'm hoping for a repeat today.

Have a good day all & I'll catch up later on xx

    Morning All.

((((Hugs)))) Diva hope your feeling better
Nessie I love Masterchef as well. I picked Druhv to win as well (I am sure that is not spelt right) the only thing is I then spend an hour mooching in the kitchen cos I'm hungry):o
JackieO My youngest DS is Danny as well and he is such a charming young man, you could have been describing my Danny:)

Well the plan was to have a lie in this morning but after 3 texts from sons GF in Australia I gave up. She obviously wanted to chat and its the middle of the afternoon there!

Tea last night was Chilli and rice from the freezer so nice and easy. DH was sulking because Man U lost so I went off to bed to read a couple of old recipe books I found when sorting out the loft. One was The Complete Book of Baking. Definitely some interesting breads to try.

Busy weekend with being back at work on Monday. Will be doing some batch cooking and freezing so OS doesn't go out of the window and takeaways back in:eek: Called in work yesterday and did a bit of catching up so feel better about going in on Monday. Didn't see my boss though so still a bit anxious. Oh well can't control the way he behaves only the way I do.

Looking after DGS today as my daughter is taking her test again. Looks like she is getting back with her fella so hope it works out for her:T My DS Danny just wants to know when she is moving out so he can have his room back:rotfl:

Have a good day peeps x

    Morning! :D

Hoping things go well for Diva today.......

Just finished my first coffee, think I'll make another while I wait for my delivery from Mr. A. Things to be done on the park today and I'm building my nerve up for a batch of HM bread, I've developed some sort of kneading phobia and haven't made bread from scratch for ages, been using the BM for the mixing and first rise.

Don't honestly know what else is on today, will just take it as it comes :) It is gorgeous out, sunny and warm with very little wind so suppose it may be a good time to finalize what's going to be planted food wise out back in pots and troughs. We'll see . . . . . . ;)

Everyone take care, I'll try to get in later for news of Diva.

I found a recipe for Apple and Cinnamon Lolli-pups (for the dog!), which calls for wheatgerm. Anybody know what this is and where I can buy it?

    Hugs to all,
    Gxx

My dad has this on his porridge each morning, my mun gets it in sainsbugs in the cereals aisle :)

    Morning all,

Bright sunny day here, got a load on the line, and another in the wm, Sistercas I bet you are sooooo happy to be getting a new machine :T

We went to Ikea yesterday, spent too much as always, but was really pleased I got five black out blinds for under £60 they are around £30 each in the shops :D, got dd a laundry basket for her room, hopefully this will stop her using the floordrobe, got some other small bits and bobs, and had lunch there for £3 :D, so it was a good day.

Today dd is off to town later, and a sleepover with her best mate, so I have today and tomorrow to myself, think I might start decorating the utility and downstairs loo.

Something with chips tonight, will go and rummage in the freezer in a while, sainsbugs are delivering too.

Candy I hope you are ok, and that you and your dd manage to sort it out xx

    Hope Diva is ok x

Ok off to get breakfast, I have rediscovered the joys of cornflakes with ice cold milk :D

    Have good days all xx

Hi all, sorry -I'm a bit giddy today, DS1 has got a job!He found out yesterday, somewhere he had an interview before Christmas called him back last week, and said he would have got the job then, but funding kind of evaporated so they've held off till now.So he starts on Monday, after 15 months unemployed.I'm so relieved for him.

I'm minding little niece today,so this is a quickie as she's just arrived.I have to meet DH in town at teatime, for his chiropractor review.I'm hoping DB will drop me off when he picks DN up.

All best wishes to Diva, hope you are OK.xx

Hugs to everyone else, and have a good day.xxx
