Unfortunately it is jobless housewives that spend all day entering comps that reduce the chances of people like me winning anything. I've probably entered thousands of comps over the last 2 years and won less than 10 times.

I need the prizes to sell for money due to high living costs (not outgoings). MSE housewives can clearly afford not to work hence their comp addiction which reduces chances for people like me.

OMG, are you for real or just trying to wind people up????? I have as much free time as anyone who works and still have lots of wins!! I also post a lot of competitions that YOU enter, as do a lot of other 'jobless housewives' (post comps)!!

I would love to have extra money, we have very little but I very rarely sell anything, I love receiving things I could never afford, as do my children!!

What a vile attitude you have and it's down rite rude!! Maybe if you have a nicer approach then you will find you will have some wins!

Sorry if I have spoke out of term but that comment has genuinely upset me!!

I didn't win anything for the first three months when i started, but kept plugging away. My hubby kept laughing at me thinking I must be mad. He wasn't laughing (well he was, but for different reasons) when 6 months after starting I won £2000 of House of Fraser vouchers and a holiday wine tasting in Italy:j

Keep going and it will happen!

Very rude to devalue other people like that. It's all down to personal circumstances. I work a long week, with very high living costs and have won little this year - which yes, is annoying, but I'm still very happy for those who do :T

I guess people who have more time at home may have more time to enter the little ones (I don't tend to enter under £50), but if you enter most of them/the ones you want to win why should they have any more chance than you?

Re: childcare, this depends on the circumstances of the least qualified person in the household which unfortunately or not tends to be the woman. My sister in law stays at home because the max she could earn is about £6/7 per hour so it isn't worth it, whereas in families where both parties are highly qualified it often makes sense to get formal childcare. Both are equally as valuable IMO especially when the kids arent at school.

I think the comment was made to upset people. Some people have nowt better to do than poke others and watch them scream.

Wound me up too, and I work 9 hour a bl**dy day in the legal world and know I have far more free time doing that than I would if I had kids and stayed at home all day.

Best thing to do with 'trolls' is simply ignore them. It's how they get their kicks, winding people up. Met plenty other people like that on other forums. Light the blue touch paper and sit back laughing.

As for the initial poster - one thanks, one post, and nowt else? Hmmm... funny that they've not said anything else.

Will shut up now and save me breath.

With an attitude like that, i hope drewkent never win's anything.
  • I would get all raaaary at DrewKent for what he said, as I'm a stay at home mother...mainly because I'm pregnant and very ill so unfortunately can't work, but also because I have a 3year old who only attends nursery for a couple of hours a day, and living in the middle of nowhere with no transport makes it near impossible, but I'm not....I totally agree with what Mrsd said....COMPING KARMA....carry on with a negative attitude like that and us 'jobless housewives' will have a better chance of winning!! heheheh

And to the OP...just enter for fun, dont expect to win, or be disheartened when you don't, and just keep positive...enter as many as you can, and i guess be greatful for any win...big or small :D
