Unfortunately it is jobless housewives that spend all day entering comps that reduce the chances of people like me winning anything. I've probably entered thousands of comps over the last 2 years and won less than 10 times.

I need the prizes to sell for money due to high living costs (not outgoings). MSE housewives can clearly afford not to work hence their comp addiction which reduces chances for people like me.

    :eek:Not a 'housewife but....

I disagree, I think housewives do a lot harder job than many working others. They don't have more time, in my opinion. If they are good enough at managing their time then good on them. Also comps rules do not give housewives more chances to enter, they are open to all fairly. What reduces others' chances is people who create a hundred accounts.

BTW I work part-time and used to be a full-time postgarduate student but I still managed to win great prizes from here. When I am off for a couple of days, I wish I was at work because I have so much housework to do- even though I have a very helpful partner. It is honestly easier to be in work. Not that I have children like many housewives either.
It all depends on how much one is willing to invest. Nothing reduces your chances to win except how much you put into it and luck.

oh dear...turning sour now! no one is more deserving than others-well maybe the ones that spend their time and energy in posting these commps and answers for the likes of me and everyone else.

you should never expect to win anything-they are comps that are open to everyone in the uk and sometimes world wide. its just down to pure luck and chance. i would love to be that one person out of thousands that win win win. but it doesnt happen that way.

when someone wins on here i dont think-ahhh wish it was me. i think ahh well done girl/boy/dog/cat. at least the comp was genuine and some lucky soul will be receiving something fab through the post.

to welsh crumpet-keep it going lovely, i send you and everyone else all the welsh luck i can muster up.

and to all the negative people-cheer up! it's only a game xx

    peace xxxx

Wow! how did you guess that was me?!! ;)

The bottom line is; it's down to luck unless it's a comp that requires effort of some kind, like a slogan...I think if a person is expecting big wins, and perhaps not entering the "little" comps then it will seem to take forever and probably not at all. It's the "little" wins that can mount up. I never thought of myself as lucky but am over the moon with my wins. I don't enter daily; as I've said before I suffer from depression, so often don't have the motivation. I DO enjoy doing comps and don't think of it as work. I think Toniq is correct in saying, never expect a win. Mostly I forget about them once I enter but am excited at the prospect of a WEM or WTC or postal communication, so that brightens my day.

Anyway, back to the lazing around; :rotfl: I wish...

How rude. I am a 'jobless housewife' but only enter from about 7-10pm something which anyone who works 9-5 could also do. I can't afford TO WORK, you have no idea. Maybe you haven't won cause you have such a horrible negative attitude...

I always laugh when people ask what they are doing wrong, because the answer is more than likely nothing at all.

Its right what everyone else says, you really shouldn't expect to win, after all, entering competitions should be a hobby, not a chore, and definitely not seen as a substitute for a regular income.

I enter thousands upon thousands of competitions every month, doing the competitions takes up a large part of my free time (and I don't have much of that), but I do it because I have had some excellent prizes, and the buzz of getting an WTC or WEM is worth only have a few wins a month. My wins have slowed down of late, but I put that down to the fact that there are now more people than ever entering and the chances of winning are therefore reduced, but I continually plug away, because you just never know what is around the corner.

I agree with MrsD that is rude! I'm a mum to two toddlers (3 and 1.5) which in itself is a full time job...plus I work 15 hours a week.....and I do this in my spare time which is quite feasible if you prioritise!

Competitions are down to luck and luck alone.

All I can suggest to the op is KEEP GOING!! :T
