  • That is exactly right! I am a jobless housewife and enter competitions pretty much all morning when the children are at school :rotfl:I have won loads lately inc 4 weekend breaks and furniture/electronic items for the house (and meee) and loads of vouchers. I can afford not to work thanks to competitions! :T

To the original poster. Enter as many as you can and not just the big ones. You will start winning if you do that.

I Know this has drifted but i really cant see how anyone cant afford to work
You try paying for childcare for four children and then you'll understand ;)
If I was able to go out to work (which I'm not anyway) I worked out that I'd have to earn over 30 grand a year just to break even.
Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

We've paid for childcare for 3 children and have been worse off but it was the right thing to do:j

Unfortunately it's not an option here. Our finances are already stretched to the absolute limit so we just couldn't afford to lose any of our income. Sad but true I'm afraid...

I can't afford childcare hence I can't work. Both children are under 3 and I'm not actually qualified or experienced to be anything. Certainly not anything that would cover childcare and allow me anything left over.

Unfortunately it is jobless housewives that spend all day entering comps that reduce the chances of people like me winning anything. I've probably entered thousands of comps over the last 2 years and won less than 10 times.

I need the prizes to sell for money due to high living costs (not outgoings). MSE housewives can clearly afford not to work hence their comp addiction which reduces chances for people like me.

I am a housewife but I am certainly not jobless....I was a manager for 10 years and I can assure you looking after 2 children under school age and a house is far harder than my previous job.
Plus I can afford (just) to stay at home and raise my family because my husband has worked very hard to get a very highly qualified job that enables him to support me and the 2 boys. I comp because it is my way to unwind in a great and (nearly almost) friendly environment.

I dont see the problem with being a housewife....? I am one, I enter competitions and win quite often and enjoy doing it. I dont claim benefits....... my husband has a really good job which pays very well and I can afford to not work and look after my kids. Not everybody is struggling moneywise :)

i am one too, i have a 1 year old and would be working to pay for child care? why wouls it be "the right thing to do?" your children dont see you all day? its a struggle with 1 wage at times but i wouldnt change it for the world. we dont claim ANYTHING, If i went to work i wouldnt see my baby and we decided to bring her into the world so i should be her primary carer, i dont understand y it is the right thing to work and see non of the money!?

That is a really offensive remark and the first one i've ever come across on the comp boards. Most here have husbands who work and they look after children. For those who don't work because they can't get a job, it's still none of your business!! You want to win stuff to sell to pay bills? That's fine. Either get a higher paid job or stop putting down people. I'm miffed!!!:mad::mad: What goes around comes around and I think you'll find the reason you've not won lot's is because you give out bad vibes and so attract them in return. Housewives are supposed to not enter to give you a better chance? They're called COMPETITIONS hun, look the word up!

Lots of luck to OP and everyone else!!!!! Hope the comping fairy visits you soon! :)
