  • thanks all very good advice, she has woken up now after wetting the bed :D

People seem to have stronger opinions towards Metanium so I will try that first. I will keep an eye for a few days and take her to the doctors if it persists.

    thankyou again

Metanium worked well for my DD too - bepantham and sudocreme made it worse!

But the absolute wonder cream for me was something called Morhulin, which you won't normally find on the shelves, but if you ask behind the counter at Boots they may have some in, or they will order it for you (will come in the next day). It literally cleared up my DD's nappy rash overnight.

  • Sounds like when my daughter was a baby. Nothing helped, I had to just use soft nappies, and lose.... and it generally cleared up in time.

I found metanium to be really good if one of mine had nappy rash

Also, as a preventative measure, I used Aqueous cream which was fantastic - i think my 2 younger ones probably only had a mild rash once or twice

Metanium was a godsend to me when my kids had nappy rash when they were teething.

Very thin layer of vaseline and pat on cornflour, but first check that it isn't thrush.

Old remedy but works a treat for nappy rash. Don't knock it until you try it. It's the only thing I used on my kids, that my mother and hers used on their kids and my daughter used on my grandchild. Up to you! ;)

if it's a new thing it could be thrush, let the Doc have a look

Sudocream worked for me,but I only used to use it at night after a bath, so that some air would get to their bits during the day.

Mine always used to get nappy rash with teething. Try giving some teething powders such as Ashton and Parsons as it helps to settle their tummies and prevent the explosive bottom from happening.
