Productive day today. I have done ALL of the ironing AND put it away:A - a minor miracle really:rotfl:
Still about a million things to do to get the place sorted though before the 19th.
Think we're going up to Alloa tomorrow to see Aunt Jean and pop into Sterling Mills. There's an underwear outlet store there with really good deals on top brand bras and pants so going to get some new stuff for work. Might treat myself to something runnerly out of the Nike outlet too.
Current plan of attack once I start work is to work 8-4.30, get train home, change into running gear and do 5k or so with end point being Nathan's nursery at around 6, unless Hubbles is picking him up in which case I'll try for a bit further. Probably more realistic than saying I'll do it before work, at least until I get into the swing of it again:)
Was supposed to be going for a meal tonight with some friends/ex colleagues to say bon voyage to a mate who is off on a trip round the world but have talked myself out of it AND persuaded Hubbles he can watch his brother play rugby so I can't change my mind:cool: not that I want to. I don't think.
Oh and Mum called this morning to tell me my Grandma (who suffers dementia caused by a series of strokes) had a bleed on the brain last night. She is currently stable but unresponsive...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Report back to me on M&S.
Have a good day
We didn't go in the end but I've been before and its worth a visit. We have an M&S outlet in Paisley too and definite bargains to be found...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Well, as I said to Beanie below, we didn't go to Alloa in the end. Hubbles didn't get his finger out and phone Jean and I feel it is unfair to phone her a couple of hours before we are going to appear because she needs to plan to be organised for visitors because of her mobility problems. I'm a bit annoyed because she is currently struggling with a garden chair to sit on. Since breaking her elbow in one arm and damaging ligaments in the other before Xmas she can't get up off her sofa any more but hasn't been able to afford anything better than the garden chair. We have a massage chair we never use except as a clothes horse that would suit and I want to take that up for her.
Anyway, rant over.
On Saturday we went to the local park instead and Nathan had a crawl about and a giggle. Then we headed to Braehead to get Nathan's feet measured at Clarks. I got new shoes and so did Nathan with a voucher he got for his birthday - my boy has big feet - size 4.5G!!!!
Shoe shopping was followed by dinner at Nandos and nathan had his first peri peri chicken - I foresee birthday parties at nando's in the not too distant future...
Sunday we went to another park and Nathan crawled about some more. He just picked a direction and went, chattering all the way, much cuteness and as he was wearing shorts some very grubby knees to scrub come bathtime. We also went to Tesco's then headed home. All in all a lovely weekend. Hopefully the weather is a sign of things to come.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

I'll give you a tip (for the future mind - N's too young at the moment) for dealing with dirty knees - a good old nail brush - works wonders. The amount of times I've had to use it with my two boys!!! Even then, you are sometimes left with mud stains in the knees. Boys will be boys. Bet he looked cute when crawling. Takes me back to when my two were that age.
