Helloooo! Happy New Year to lurkers and posters alike.

I had a GREAT couple of weeks off - we ate, drank, played and partied and I am lighter and slimmer than when I started! Not sure how that works... I did find I didn't want much of anything too sweet or heavy and kept leaving food on my plate which is worryingly self controlled and grown up now I think about it.

Never one to let an opportunity pass, I am now taking advantage of this momentum and getting back into running and lifting. This morning's alarm at 5am was not thrown across the room and I managed a decent few kms before getting the kids up.

The revamped gym in the garage is much more inviting (we opened it all back up - clever Hubbles reused all the materials from the original partition to box in the garage door so it only cost us a few cheap kitchen units and a basic black work surface) and I can't wait to get in there tomorrow morning.

I want to lose c10kg by my birthday (which was 6 months away when I started back to training on Saturday) but I am not that worried about weight if I feel stronger and my clothes look better. I shall be continuing the low/no sugar rules I was on at the end of last year as my normal eating rules, though I will relax them for high days and holidays.

Finances continue to progress. Shuffled a couple 0% cards around before expiry dates, paid cash for ALL of Xmas and continue to YNAB with zeal. I need to regroup and update my signature sooner rather than later...

Hope you are all as excited about 2019 as I am!

Not much to report here. Payday tomorrow so will be able to play with YNAB. Sadly it won't take long though. I will get a second shot next week when Hubbles gets paid though :)

Plans for the weekend include driving lessons and a major tidy of the study/dumping ground triggered in part by the need to find my certificates for the screening by new employer. This will involve completely emptying the space, trying to arrange furniture we don't really want in a way that maximises space and then putting everything back minus the carp. I will be back to work on Monday for a rest!

Wish I could say that too ;) I ate, drank, played and partied and now resemble a ball :rotfl: Quit the gym as I wasn't going regularly enough to justify it, but will join one in England when we move down. Maybe give myself a month or two to get settled though before I commit ;) It's going to get quite cold anyway apparently and my festive blubber may keep me warm haha!

We will have a garage so maybe in time I could get some weights and do something similar to you!

Fab news on the cash Christmas and moving things to 0%. Sounds like things are in control!

When does the new job start?!
